In reaction to reports that Sean Combs' Sean John clothing line has been using fur made from the skin of a raccoon dog rather than the "faux fur" of which it previously claimed to be consisting, Combs has issued an apology. ContactMusic.com reports:
The star came under fire from the Humane Society Of The United States (HSUS) earlier this month (DEC06) after it was discovered the hood lining of a 'faux fur' Sean John jacket was made from the skin of raccoon dogs. But Combs has apologised to HSUS and has vowed never to use real fur again, insisting department store MACy's remove the offending garment from sale. He says, "I was unaware of the nature of this material, but as soon as we were alerted, the garments were pulled off the MACy's floor and website."This is absolutely outrageous. That's why I personally only purchase clothing made specifically by impoverished third-world children. They would never let a slip like this happen, I'll tell you what.
