Look guys. This monkey thinks it's people.
PETA is apparently trying to garner some support from a younger demographic, with the inception of its sister organization, peta2. And to appeal to the sophisticated, technologically savvy youth of America, they've chosen to use Steve-O. You know, cause teenaged boys who like to skateboard and jam flaming toy cars up their asses will probably rally to the cause of animal rights once they see Steve rambling about it for about three minutes.
In this video, Steve-O describes a meeting with a Ringling public relations representative during his training with the circus, during which he was told that as a clown, he was to keep his mouth shut regarding any questions of the treatment of animals. This information elicited the response of, "I was like, 'Whoah,'" from the eloquent former "Jackass" star.
I have a feeling that there was a public relations brainstorming meeting in which this promotional video came to fruition where the words "edgy" and "hip" were being thrown around, when they really should have been saying "drunk" and "unintelligible."

I think PETA had the right idea but got caught up being a little too radical about some things. I think Stevo-O is an obnoxious freakshow.
