Anna's Mom, Virgie Arthur, was on ABC this morning. She's attributing Anna's death to drugs, and re-stating her opinion that Larry Birkhead is the baby's father . She also thinks Daniel Smith's death a couple of months ago was no accident. Jesus H.
"I think she had too many drugs," Arthur told "GMA" anchor Robin Robert, "just like Danny." This was an apparent reference to Smith's 20-year-old son Daniel, who died suddenly in the Bahamas last year.Arthur has said in interviews that she believes that Daniel's death was not an accident.
A 28-year veteran of Texas law enforcement, Arthur has been very frank about her disappointment in Anna Nicole because of her use of drugs and her "hanging out with the wrong crowd."

Arthur has also said that the father of her granddaughter, Dannielyn Hope, is not Smith's attorney Howard K. Stern, as both Smith and Stern claim, but Smith's ex-boyfriend, Larry Birkhead.Smith and her mother were somewhat estranged. Arthur said that the last time she saw her daughter was in a television interview.
"But she was too drugged up," Arthur said. "She was so wasted."
"I'm going to go over there and see what I can do to help her, because she's the last of the two. I have a dead grandson, I have a dead daughter, and I have a granddaughter that I'm really worried about," she said.
She is also worried that the custody battle over Smith's daughter could get ugly because she may or may not be the legal heir to a huge fortune.
Oh, christ. Who gets the money? You knew it was gonna boil down to that.

ANS cut these people off, and had not talked to them in years. For all her commenting her mom fails to realize thst Daniel was an adult and never contacted them, or visited them either. ANS and Daniel didn't like her family, so why are these hillbillies even bothering to comment?
No doubt we will see a book by the family so they can make some money off a dead woman who hated them.

Her own Mother is quick to get her ugly ass on tv to comment. Rotten. Plain and simple.

I, for one, am thoroughly disappointed in #1 the media and their "misinformation" and #2 the lack of human compassion that has seemed to take over this world. Anna Nicole may not have lived her life as others would choose, but that was her decision, not ours, and I'm pretty sure that none of us have lived an absolutely perfect life. People in glass houses shouldn't be throwing stones. I'm sure plenty of "family" and "friends" and "fathers" will be coming out of the woodwork to try and get their hands on money that should rightly go in a trustfund for the baby, and handled by someone with the utmost respectability and morals.

what kind of terrible person uses the death of her daughter to get publicity/money. people are sick! if anyone ever wondered why anna could be "wierd" its becasue of her screwed up family. i cannot imagine a mother saying that her daughter was wasted one day after she died. i think anna is lucky to be able to move on and not have to deal with such nonsense, with her son again! anna may have lived her life diffrently but no one should judge her, we didnt know what a hard time she had. her family would do anything for some money, including exploiting her! i am just so shocked by this, and i seem to be more upset than her own mom!

Why should any of us be shocked by any of this insanity? ANS obviously came from a screwed up family, they tried exploiting her while she was still alive (apparently, a half sister was writing a book about her even though they had never met) and as for exploitation, ANS exploited herself for money and fame. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree....
The whole sordid mess is a real tragedy, especially for an innocent five month old baby....

If ANS was my daughter I would be very disappointed in her behaviour. I think her mother probably wasn't the best, given how "drugged up" and uneducated her daughter was. But still, have compassion for a woman who has lost her daughter and grandson.

Oh please! Anna's mother couldn't even answer questions on the stand yesterday, because she didn't know how to put a spin on it. Simple questions like have you ever received any money . . . when she was really on the spot she had to fake being upset so she could run to the bathroom. I do give the broad credit to get up on the stand and show us all what white trash looks like. The judge is also making a circus out of this - apparently he likes all the attention and maybe he is so hoping for a television show. Bury her in the Bahamas next to her son - give the mom a few bucks and then get the DNA testing over with.
