The continued battle of the BMI has become a focal point in the industry. Serious debates and even bans have been instituted to fight off unhealthy models. Obviously, all the measures taken are basically in effort to cover one's ass. The finger pointing and the weight of the world's physical perception of beauty had to fall somewhere.
In effort to lighten the subject, celebrity photographer/director Jonathan Lennard has created a film in retaliation. "Anorexia the Film" is a refreshing satirical jab at the stereotype that all models have eating disorders. A total of one minute, the film shows ladies of the runway chowing down on burgers and spouting "screw tomatoes," while one fit model is more turned on by a hot dog than her boy toy. The point is to bring awareness to the media's exaggeration of the problem.
Now I don't feel so bad for eating truffles while watching Grey's Anatomy last night. I guess I should have washed it down with a cigarette and a Diet Coke, though. *Note sarcasm with slight disdain for Diet Coke. I much prefer Diet Pepsi.
