Dolce and Gabbana are fearless in many ways. But when leopard print was the focal point of the Milan show, I seriously started to doubt the duo. The entire collection was disco meets 1940 siren. Negligee-style evening dresses made of chiffon were paired with velvet jackets. The designers even used long black cigarette holders.
The models who rocked down the runway to "Disco Inferno" didn't seem to mind the fact that they were wearing leopard print shorts. Despite the winter ensembles, the shorts were indeed short. Some could even conceivably pass for underwear. Spike heels were worn, replacing the flats trend that I can't wait to say "adios" to. The unique factor was there and slapped you in the face. I guess I can forgive the leopard look even if the runway was forcefully decked out in the print.
