Barack Obama's fundraiser last night was a huge success. Originally planned for 400 guests, the venue had to be changed to accomodate the 600 guests who ended up attending, including such A-list stars as Denzel Washington, Jennifer Aniston, Tom Hanks and Eddie Murphy. But there was one high-profile Democrat who wasn't happy--Barack's fellow front-runner for the Democratic nomination for the 2008 presidential election, Hillary Clinton. The event was organized by DreamWorks founders Steven Spielberg, David Geffen and Jeffrey Katzenberg and Page Six reports:

Hillary Clinton, was furious at the three, who she thought were her friends, for supporting her rival. According to our source, an angry call was made to Geffen by someone in Clinton's office. "They were very angry [the movie moguls] were holding this event," our source said. "They calmed down after an assurance was made that there would still be support and money left over for [Clinton]." A rep for Clinton said, "No one spoke to [Geffen]."
Steven Spielberg has agreed to host Clinton's fundraiser, which is set to take place at the end of next month. Ha! I hope it did happen, cause that totally would make it sound like Hillary's mom called Spielberg, Katzenberg and Geffen's mom to make sure that they would make just as big a deal of Hillary's birthday party. She just better have a pony. That's all I'm saying.

The thing Hillary has waited for her entire life, and she may have the rug pulled out from under her at the last moment. He's an amazing man.

Hah! Hillary just wants a party where all of them can swing their ***** up on the table and see who has the biggest.

what has he done? who is he? i don't even think he has finished his first term as a senator. This would be very scary. She would too but she has a lot more experience than him.

I can understand the what has he done comment, but the who is he one is a bit dumb, seeing as he has been all lover the news of late.... what did GWB do before he became governor, then president, other than run a few companies into the ground

I was bummed when I first heard it was Clinton vs. Obama.
I was kinda hoping they would get together and one of the two would have a small enough ego to accept V.P..

:-(

This has become completely overblown. Geffen's inappropriate comments to Maureen Dowd came out in complete Dowd-fashion--tacky.
