Refusing to go on stage without the cloak of his alter-ego Borat, Sacha Baron Cohen has very politey said, "No thanks," to presenting at the Oscars this Sunday. According to the The L.A. Times, producers for the show were a little concerned about allowing Cohen to take the stage under the guise of his unpredictable character, Borat Sagdiyev. So, it's looking like unless he wins for his Best Adapted Screenplay nomination, Borat will have to remain satisfied watching from his seat and demurely clapping throughout the proceedings.
Yeah, cause God forbid something INTERESTING actually happen on stage.

I was going to skip watching the Oscars this time around and probably will. Not really any reason to watch like in previous years, and even those were pushing it. Borat would be like the Clooney of this year's show but they just tanked it...idiots!

Oscars are serious. Borat was also one of the most iriginal films in a long time and without the extended gay romp it may have got a best picture nod.
