In response to false reports that Katherine Heigl was not going to be coming back to "Grey's Anatomy" for a continued season, both Heigl and ABC have released statements that definitively confirm that she has no interest in leaving the hit medical drama.
"I am embarrassed that this has become a public matter and disappointed that Touchstone felt it necessary to divulge private employment information," Heigl said in a statement. "I had hoped I would be able to deal with this issue confidentially with my bosses. I dropped out of the renegotiation simply because I wanted to treat myself with the respect I was not getting from them. No matter how unhappy I am about their decision to respond to this publicly, I continue to be passionate about and committed to this character."ABC's statement to that effect was directed toward fans of the show, to reassure them that both Heigl and the network expect her to continue portraying Dr. Izzie Stevens and that she would be receiving a bonus from them to do so. I miss the days when the biggest drama on the show was actually on-screen.

YAY!! I'm so happy. Grey's would suck if Izzie left!

No one would miss Izzie. She's annoying. I hated the whole Denny storyline.
The only reason we knew she was involved in talks with touchstone is because SHE took it public.
