That includes executives at her recording label, Jive, who sources tell Star were ready to dump Brit until Justin Timberlake stepped in.A source close to the label tells Star that Justin has assured Jive bigs that Britney still has a hit album in her. "He's putting his reputation on the line," says the industry insider. Her comeback album, previously due in the second half of 2007, has been removed from Jive's release schedule. "Justin bought Britney a little more time," says the source. "But Jive expects Brit in the studio a week or two after leaving rehab."

Nice gesture on Justin's part -- but the fact is, SHE CAN'T SING!! Her hits in the past have strictly been achieved by having some of the best people in the industry working on her recordings. Face it -- she is a manufactured product. She provided the pretty face and body -- and others provided the music itself.
Jive could take any other good-looking girl with the "IT" factor, and produce hits as well.
The only problem is that Britney is no longer the "IT" girl. Plus she has damaged her image irreparably.
While Jive might postpone the decision to drop her because of her condition these days, the fact is to continue with Britney is a bad business decision.
