Despite all the drama that has surrounded "The View" co-host, Rosie O'Donnell, since she took over for Star Jones, girlfriend will be staying on the show for at least another year. Page Six reports:
ABC insiders say, "Rosie is going to get her own show - but it's too late to do a show for September 2007, so she will re-up for one more year at 'The View' and then do her own show that debuts in September 2008."According to the Post's sources, Rosie's presence on the show has been a shot in the arm, bringing in 75,000 new viewers a week and ABC has no interest in letting the controversial daytime diva slip out of their fingers. However, O'Donnell has at least one major demand.
"She wants ['The View' executive producer] Bill Geddie out. They hate each other. She'll stay if he leaves," said our source.Rosie and ABC are all, "denial, vaguery, blah, blah, blah," but it all makes sense. Girlfriend is crazy and we all know how much we love watching crazy on TV. I'm constantly waiting for her to just completely lose her shit and beat someone to death with a Koosh ball. And I'm pretty sure it's going to be that Hasselbeck chick.

Her ego is getting bigger and bigger..i will give her less then a year before it explodes.

Wow! I have enjoyed the show now for a while and completely forgot about Bill Geddie. You no longer see him sitting in the audience.
