Julian McMahon is the son of the late Prime Minister of Australia, Sir William McMahon, and his wife Lady Sonia. This Nip/Tuck hottie didn't break into the business until after his first year of college. Julian attended the University of Sydney to study law, but became bored and dropped out to model and act in commercials.
Julian got his first acting gig as the lead in Australia's version of "Dynasty," "The Power, The Passion" in 1989 after being spotted in a jeans commercial. From there, Julian went on to work on the small screen, the big screen, and on stage. He had a guest appearance on Will and Grace, and then was cast as Detective John Grant in Profiler. After 80 episodes and a few random parts, he landed the role of Cole in Charmed, and then, my most favorite sex god with the fantastic ass, Dr. Christian Troy in Nip/Tuck. The man can make sex with Rosie look only severely nauseating (I didn't actually vomit), so that just proves how delicious he can be.
Oh yeah, and he was in (and almost nominated for a Razzi for Worst Supporting Actor) the Fantastic Four, too.
Julian McMahon details and more photos are after the jump.

"The Power, The Passion" in 1989"?
That's weird, I AM Australian and I've never heard of that one. It must have been axed in a flash! :D
He had a long-running role on one of Australia's longest running soaps, Home and Away. Sort of like Days Of Our Lives only everyone's poor and lives near the beach.
That's where he met and married Dannii Minogue (in real life) I guess.
Show of hands though everyone, his eyebrows are fucked up! Can we agree on that? I never saw a guy make such a bogus looking pluck-job last so far into his career.

this man is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!!!!!!!! btw, does he have an aussie accent???
Maynards says:
He wasn't a bad looking guy...but these days he's looking verrry plastic...maybe taking his TV show to heart.
Plus, they must have to work for days to get a decent pic...i mean check out the one from Premonition post...Yikes!
Amelia says:
And Don't forget the very painfully embarrassing Calypso-style appearance in a Dannii Minogue filmclip...

i don't know is it just me or is there something really freaky going on with his arms in this picture they look a little odd
isaidit says:
I agree CarrieFever...they look like someone else's guns. But he is still HOT
Maritza says:
I agree about his eyebrows he should let them grow, they make him look gay. He would still make an awesome James Bond.
Becky says:
Don't forget his stint on "Another World" as Ian Rain (1993-1995). He was hot then too!
Klaust says:
He's hot,and sexy, too. I haven't watched Nip/Tuck yet but his Cole Turner in Charmed really impresses me.Neither good nor bad, just hot.
The reason why they chose Daniel Craig over Julian is Julian's age. Julian isn't young enough to become James Bond is his early life. I reall feel sorry for him
Nahed says:
I adore julian
Linda Sargent says:
Daniel Craig was born March 2, 1968 and Julian was born July 27, 1968 so the age thing doesn't mean anything.
Bess Walker says:
Julian is "sexy" incarnate and I've loved watching his career growth over the past few years. I think they messed up when they passed him over for the Bond role. Daniel Craig does nothing for me personally - and just doesn't pull off the role in my opinion. Julian exudes a potent sensuality on screen so like the some of the more successful Bonds. He's smooth, svelte, suave and savvy all put together with a slight Aussie accent that is just combustible. Coming from a 30 year fan of James Bond 007, I feel that Julian is of the "ilk" of Sean Connery, Roger Moore, and Pierce Brosnan and would have done the role far more justice than has Daniel Craig.
