We try not to get too caught up in the politics of reality television competition, but we do enjoy giving out heaping doses of nepotism, whenever possible. And in the case of the Savannah, Georgia native, Stephanie Edwards, I feel particularly obligated to give the girl a shout-out for lasting as long as she did on "American Idol." Unfortunately, Stephanie's version of the Dusty Springfield tune "'You Don't Have To Say You Love Me," failed to move the judges and the American public last night enough for her to advance to the top ten. But don't worry, girl, cause you're still getting some love courtesy of the Dirty South!
According to my mother (resident attitude expert and real estate agent), "I didn't see her perform, I just saw her interview after the results and she was such a good sport, I couldn't tell if she had won or lost."
Also, Stephanie's mom recently took my mom's blood. Not cause she's a vampire, but she works at the clinic where my mom went to see the doctor. So, with that, big ups to the Edwards family!
If you missed her performance of "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me," that's after the jump.
