Little Maddox Jolie, Angelina's first child, whom she adopted from Cambodia about five years ago, is experiencing some growing pains during this expansion of his once tiny family. Angelina told 20/20 that she noticed that her eldest child is exhibiting some jealousy in regards to his mother's relationships with other children.
"There was a little kid the other day, and he put his hand on me and asked me to read him a story and Maddox got very upset," Jolie told 20/20.However, despite the fact that Maddox has amassed three new siblings in the past two years, he's learning to deal with sharing the spotlight.
"Maddox is getting over his initial jealousy little by little and he and Pax seem to be becoming good friends," says a source close to Jolie.Kid, I feel ya. Back in the day, my moms came home with two new sisters for me to deal with in the space of two years. I can remember a time when I thought to myself, "How come these hos get to ride in the stroller, when my hard-working ass has to wear the leash?" But we've since become very close and one of these days, I'll get to walk one of THEIR kids around on a harness. Yes, more circle of life talk from the peanut gallery..

I think that is pretty normal. Don't most kids get a bit jealous of the new sib. He always seems like such a happy kid. I'm sure he will be just fine.

She is adopting way to fast and bringing kids home left and right like u do a loaf of bread.
Adoption is a great thing, but sometimes people need to step back, and think about the ones they already adopted before bringing home another child.
She should have waited a coupld of years in between adopting each child.

I believe the are adding to their family too quickly. They aren't allowing their new children to assimilate which I think would be important for adopted children.
It will be interesting to see if their schedules slow down.

they're adopting children at the same rate that a lot of people give birth to natural children. it's been at least nine monts between if not more each time they've adopted had their own, so i don't see what the big deal is.

I never understood why everybody thought Angelina stopped being crazy just because she started dressing better and having better hair/makeup people. She is still the same woman who wore Billy Bob's blood around her neck and talked about cutting herself to magazines and kissed her brother on the mouth at the Oscars....dating Brad Pitt doesn't make you less crazy

Actually I think Angelina HAS grown and changed since the girl who wore all black and married Billy Bob. She had a bad past. She was acting out, trying to find herself. Like all of us has been perfect citizens our whole lives... I think she's found herself and grown into a stronger person. And now she's trying to make up for all the "crazy" she's done in her past.
As for her kids, she's pretty much adopting in the same time span it takes to have another child. And I know plenty of kids who are a year apart in age and get along fine. And yes they do get jealous, but even kids with only 1 other sibling gets jealous. My grandpa had 9 kids and they all grew up perfectly normal and healthy.
Yes she says she wants to be left alone, but most publicists look at it this way "Give them what they want. feed the crowd, and maybe they will go away." And so Angie follows this in hopes that maybe she'll get her breathing space soon. That maybe we'll all grow bored and back off.
Plus remember, she did lose her mother recently... That can change a person. I'm sure she still struggles with that.

Angie and Brad are both young, both have a deep love of children. They've seen the plight of kids in poor countries and they care---deeply.
They have the wealth and the lifestyles to manage the brood they are building. We see stories like this in People mag with regular folks and we applaud them---why knock these two?
This nasty judgemental thing going on says more about the people who are spouting this hate than
anything about these two wonderful people.

This is all reminding me of Mia Farrow. Mia adopted 20 bazillion kids from all over the place. I don't know how they are all doing...well except for Soon Yi Previn. We all know what happened with her.
Anyway, I think it's very noble to want to help children who are less fortunate, but at some point you're just adopting too many too fast. The more kids you have, the less personal attention you're able to give each one. May as well open up an orphanage. I think they should slow down.
