We all know that Christina Aguilera can sing. That's why when she had a few technical issues at her Madison Square Garden concert last Friday, people were puzzled.
"Xtina" encountered undisclosed technical problems, prompting the audience to believe that they were watching her lip-synch pre-recorded tunes rather than hearing her "Voice Within."The "Dirrty" diva's manager Irving Azoff confessed to the New York Daily News that there were indeed some strains on the sound system.
"Miss Aguilera is one of the most talented vocalists to ever grace the stage," he said. "However, we did have a technical problem with the sound equipment at the Garden."
Smells like backup tracks to me.

Liz says:
I was at that concert. The mess up was pretty bad and was most definitely back up tracks! Back up tracks were about 2-3 seconds behind Christina at the start of a song (forget which one) and there was a slight gasp from everyone in the audience.
Brit says:
its spelled "mic" as in microphone..and i will never believe xtina uses backup tracks..if you hear audio or see video from her concerts shes doing it live. its obvious because she changes the sound of the song live.
danny says:
I was at the concert. It happened towards the end. she does have a great voice. but she was using backup tracks. she used them on some songs. nothing wrong with that. she still sang live.
Ani says:
I hate to break it to you guys, but the vast majority of performers use back up tracks in concerts, especially in such huge performances. There's a difference between a backup track and completely lip synching.
Even a singer as amazing as Christina uses help now and then. It's not exactly a big secret.
LoveYaC says:
Yeah she used a few I went to her concert in Kansas. An I noticed it a little bit. But she mostly sang live. That girl can sang too.
Gina says:
I was there, too. It occurred during HURT. She sang the first line, then an apparent backing track repeated the same line.
I did record some of the earlier parts of the show on my digital camera, and i can confirm that she was indeed singing, though she sounded kinda strained.
The mic levels were so damn high!! But hey, if she needs some help, what can we do?? She isn't lip-syncing, and we know she can sing.
Bologny! says:
i agree with everyone that says that like all singers she needs a little help sometimes. nobody is perfect. would u rather listen to a strained and squiky voive than listen to a back up track. in my opinion i would listen to the back up track, cause i know it sounds better and it is helping her, the singer!
i love christina aguilera! she is one of my favorite singers! and i know and everyone does too, that she can sing beautifully! she has an amazing voice!!
i believe she never meant it as bad. and that she has only did it in emergency cases like this one.
