Elisabeth Hasselbeck says that, despite their political differences, she has a strong friendship with her co-host Rosie O'Donnell. When asked about this, Rosie had no idea who she was until "that terrified conservative airhead you sit beside" was used as a description.
"Everyone's always thinking Ro and I don't get along, we're 'enemies,' " The View's youngest - and most conservative - star, 29, tells PEOPLE for its new issue. "Politically, we're rivals. That is clear. However, we are personally friends. We are on e-mail all day long with each other."As for the gossip reports that O'Donnell's on-air remarks to Hasselbeck have caused the younger star to cry backstage, Hasselbeck shrugs off the stories, saying, "Under these blonde highlights I consider myself a pretty tough person. So don't cry for me, Argentina."
Easy there, Evita. It's a TV show and you ain't the spiritual leader of a nation. And I seriously doubt Rosie's having you over for brunch when she knows everytime you picture her having sex with her girlfriend, you're like "ewww, gross." I mean, I am too but I ain't claiming I'm best friends with her.

Amanda says:
Why hasn't any gossip picked up on the fact that Elisabeth is pregnant again? I know its not huge news but I'm surprised no one is speculating b/c to me, it is pretty obvious!
yandros says:
Look, Rosie's getting a lot of press which is her job. Why do you think a blowhard like "The Donald" (complete blowhard) would whine about Rosie? Trump and Rosie probably have a contract on how many times they can mention each other... and Rosie probably has a contract with the ACLU on how many times she can say she hates America.
What'd be really good television is Rosie going to downtown Islamabad and proclaiming how much fun it is to be openly lesbian. And Hasselbeck going to downtown SF and proclaiming how great it is to be a conservative.
The irony is that Hasselbeck would be spat upon at most. Rosie would have her head cut off and her body crucified... hmmm what irony... the country Rosie hates the most is the most tolerant of the "view"s she espouses.
