Something about these two just rubs me the wrong way. Is it because I heard that she's his beard? Is it her Pizza Hut commercials? Is it because he reminds me of when you have a female friend and she brings her new boyfriend she met at grad school around, and he thinks he's really funny and laid-back and suave but you know he's the type to tell a homeless person to dance for him to earn the dollar? Yeah, he's that guy. He's really just William Zabka from "The Karate Kid" hiding behind a down-home intelligentisa/ coffee bar/James Taylor wannabe/strummin' those chords veneer.

He's no more fake than Nick Lachey with his lip gloss, blue eyes and Hollywood clothing. John Mayer may have long hair but at least his singing career is far more successful than Nick's. She definitely stepped up in the dating pool. But, I agree it's just a step, not the final place, for Jessica.
