Drew Barrymore will lend her celebrity face to CoverGirl Cosmetics, adding to the company's roster of high-profile spokesmodels like Queen Latifah, Molly Sims, Rihanna, Christie Brinkley and Keri Russel. However, her role with the company will extend to behind-the-scenes participation as well, with Barrymore acting as co-creative director for her first TV commercial with CoverGirl.
"Drew is a wonderful addition to the CoverGirl family and her role - both in front of the camera and behind the scenes as co-creative director - is new and different for the cosmetics industry," said Esi Eggleston Bracey, Vice President and General Manager, CoverGirl Cosmetics in North America. "We wanted to honor Drew's passions as a filmmaker and are thrilled she is not only lending her beautiful face to CoverGirl but also lending her artistic talents as the co-creative director of the ad campaign."Who needs a boyfriend when you've got an endorsement from a major cosmetics company? I would totally trade in my BF for one in a heartbeat, should the opportunity somehow arise. (Baby, I'm only kidding...)
