Bless her heart, because Lisa Rinna seems like a nice enough person, but by God, the woman's lips have taken on a life of their own. And they are living large, if you know what I mean. And unless you're sight-impaired, it's obvious what I mean. Yahoo! News reports that Lisa Rinna is debuting on the TV Guide Channel as their red-carpet host at the Emmy Awards on Sept. 16th, replacing the original red-caret diva extraordinaire, Joan Rivers.
"TV Guide Channel is very appreciative of Joan and Melissa Rivers' contributions to the success of our red-carpet programming over the past three years," Ryan O'Hara, president of TV Guide Channel, said in a statement. "We wish them the best in their future endeavors."What did Joan have to say about all of this?
"I will tell you my true feelings and experiences as soon as we finalize our new deal," she said in a statement released by her spokeswoman, Judy Katz.Well, I have a sneaking suspicion that even if tasers were involved, it's going to be an impossible task, getting that woman off the red carpet. It's some sort of Law of Physics, that describes the reason why Joan Rivers is inexplicably drawn to appear wherever a red carpet is placed and forced to critique the outfits of those treading it. In fact, when I moved into my Hollywood apartment, I was extremely careful when selecting my color palette for all rugs and carpets, lest I emerge from my closet, only to have a mic shoved in my face, and Joan making fun of whatever incredibly boring outfit I had selected.

Both women are loud. At least Joan always looked nice which helps when your judging the appearance of others. On the other hand Rinna seems to have affection for the trampy look.
I tried to watch Rinna on another show, she was so full of herself and so LOUD..No I won't be watching Joan's suck-sessor.

The last time I saw Ms Rivers and her daughter on the red carpet, at the Oscars, it was in the days immediately following Anna Nicole's death. In her opening cut-throat dialogue, which was appropriately catty until she took her jabs at Anna, she sealed her fate. Her comments were beyond crass and inappropriate. She was completely and utterly classless. I was not being 'overly sensitive' because I felt for Anna (which I did, especially at that time) - I was appalled. I would have been appalled whoever it had been by the comments that were made.
I knew Rivers was finished when I heard that. She is, and it is deserved. Her schtick has always been criticism. Her comments about Anna, and right after her death at that, were over and beyond acceptable in ANY forum. As for her daughter, she made no comments that I heard. A day or so before/after this faux paus, a news reporter was asking celebrities what they thought about the Anna Nicole disaster. Rivers was there to give her opinion and she was being serious. When asked what she thought, she gave this cold and snot-filled reply: "Trash is trash (sniff)" At the time I was disgusted and thought 'For heaven's sake, fire this bitch." I'm too glad to see her go.
Someone should have the guts to stand up and say what the real reason behind her firing was. Melissa's contract, as I heard no comments on Anna's death from her, probably stipulated that she and her mother are a pair at these events, with Melissa filling in solo for her when necessary. That, or Melissa backed out of her contract when she learned her mother was axed. Whatever. Lisa Renna is a wonderful replacement. She is talented, kind, and classy. And to those who disagree, I say 'WHATEVER!' It is what it is and Joan Rivers screwed up as a reporter, a comedian (her comments were not amusing in the least, by any standard), and most of all, as a person. Her own husband committed suicide years ago. Either she's always been a monster with no feelings in her personal life, or she just became one. Now she has something to think about. I would like to demand that she make a public apology for such offensive remarks. THIS time, she crossed the line.

Rinna was embarassing to watch. I had to change the channel. She had the wrong information and was asking the wrong questions. Not professional AT ALL!!!!!!
