His recent interview with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes revealed that rap artist, Cam'ron, has no interest in helping out the police on anything ever. Cam'ron explains that it is both a "code of ethics" to which he is adhering, and that snitching, quite frankly is bad business sense when it comes to hip-hop.
"If I knew the serial killer was living next door to me?" Giles responds to a hypothetical question posed by Cooper. "I wouldn't call and tell anybody on him -- but I'd probably move. But I'm not going to call and be like, 'The serial killer's in 4E.' "Giles' "code of ethics" also extends to crimes committed against him. After being shot and wounded by gunmen, Giles refused to cooperate with police. Why?
"Because ... it would definitely hurt my business, and the way I was raised, I just don't do that," says Giles.
I was raised in fairly sheltered surroundings (big shocker) and so I don't really have the same animosity toward police that maybe someone from a vastly different background might have. But replace "police" with "parking enforcement" and I am so down.

Um, I can understand the "hip hop is oh so dangerous so I can't rat anyone out" BUT the psycho next door?!! What does he have to do with hip hop. I live in NYC and understand the distaste for having to deal with police officers but he gave a really bad example. I guess thats because ultimately, he is a dumb ass.
