Despite rumors that America's favorite beautiful couple are experiencing some relationship problems, Angelina is further cementing her connection to her love, Brad Pitt, by adding his name to that of her adopted son, Pax. From TMZ:
Angelina Jolie has filed a petition in L.A. County Superior Court to change the name of her latest adopted child from Pax Thien Jolie to Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt.In papers filed April 16 and obtained today by TMZ, Angelina -- the sole adoptive parent of Pax -- is requesting the change so it will reflect the last name of her partner, Brad Pitt, and so it is the same as that of her other three children.
Because I'm sick as hell, my mind immediately goes to the possibility of an Angelina/Pax hook-up years from now, Woody Allen-style and I wonder if that would make Angie's name Angelina Jolie Thien Jolie-Pitt. Yes, I've been drinking.

Perhaps she is weird to many people but she is doing what she feels she needs to do and she is helping others (not hurting others) by doing it. I just don't understand why people are hell-bent on thinking she is some sort of monster. She has done some good with her money, how many of us can honestly say that?

Does Brad have anything to do with changing Pax name to Pitt? It doesn't mention his name at all. I still don't think they will make it. and I do feel sorry for the kids. Brad will have some hefty child support payments. He went from no kids, to 4 kids in 2 years..

I think you're insinuating that that those who have sweet, flowery opinions are less opinionated (and perhaps more ethical) than those who have less sugary, more realistic opinions. Can someone clear something up for me. Since I am not familiar with CA law, is adding someone's name to a childs the same as adopting that child? I wonder because it says that she petitioned for a name change, not an adoption.

I'm not a Californian, but legally adding or changing a name is just that. As far as I know, Brad has not adopted any of AJ's kids, which is an entirely separate and more involved legal process. T-Bone, your comments/insight are so right on regardless of what celeb you write about. I've long thought that AG exhibits a lot of Axis II personality disorder traits and in the long run of mothering, is likely to do more damage than good by the time these kids are in their adolescent/teen years.
