The issue of racism and sexism in rap is one about which Oprah is very passionnate. And on a recent episode of her show, she engaged in a discussion about the images presented in rap lyrics and what the consequences are for the children who listen to these albums. In response to this, Snoop talked to MTV.
"I'm Snoop Dogg - you can't (badmouth) me because I do so much right and I'm the person who represents me the best."Snoop Dogg is a father, he's a (football) coach, he's a teacher. I'm a man, and I do make mistakes and I'm willing to listen and learn. But a lot of times, they don't know me, so they have to speak on what they feel. But it is what it is.
"I appreciate you, Oprah. I've never been on your show, so thank you for bringing my name up on your show. I'm sure that'll mean another million record sales. Thank you."
Isn't there a breathe-right strip, or furniture polish he should be endorsing? It's amazing he managed to squeeze in this speech in between random product endorsements, court appearances and girls going wild. I mean, he's a busy guy.

I would love to see Snoop Dog on Oprah, I'd Tivo that! The guy is a trip! Would Oprah eat him alive or the other way around? Nah, she wouldn't have him on in the first place...

He's a tool. He wants so desparately for the likes of Oprah, Cosby and other black entertainers who are not gun toting fools, to respect him and invite him into the club but IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Thats like Martha Stewart inviting Tara Reid onto her show. You have to have more in common than race so SNOOP shut your pie hole and have a seat!
