It wasn't until I actually got a peek inside "Hotel Stoli", which is actually a much more involved marketing event than I had originally understood. Apparently, the creators of the traveling "hotel," outfitted a warehouse-like space with fake walls, rooms and even a VIP suite in the spirit of a movie set, so that it looks like several hotel rooms inside the space, complete with a bar in the dance area. It was pretty impressive to see in person, and the brightly-colored rooms made me feel like I was in the D-Child "Say My Name" video of days gone by. And I don't mean this one.
The event of the evening was to celebrate the one-year anniversary party of 944 Magazine, and ASL was invited not only to peep the celebs on the red carpet, but to get our party on as well. Inside, there was a mock fashion photo shoot going on, and Wayne recognized the photographer as having had appeared on an episode of Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency. I wish it would have been Nigel Barker instead, because I have something of a not-so-secret crush on the ANTM judge, but whatevs. There were also spa treatments available inside, as well as the usual cocktails and dancing.
We spent most of the evening waiting for Lindsay Lohan to arrive, ("She's on her way, guys. Seriously.") but were happy to catch a glimpses of C-listers from "Dancing with the Stars," various sit-com actors and actresses, as well as Adrien Grenier. But my favorite arrival of the evening by far was made by one Tara Reid. She pulled up in a shiny black SUV/Hummer-thing (I can't remember which exactly...there were so many of those driving past us), poured out of the car with her entourage in tow, which included her brother. Tara seemed to be maintaining her new, slightly more demure persona...but just barely. And in person, she looks pretty much exactly as you'd imagine.

There were a slew of "Deal or No Deal" girls, and one even arrived with an entourage of her own, which included her father, who obligingly carried her purse. I guess if your job is to lug a suitcase around all day, the last thing you're interested in doing on your free time is carrying a purse around. Kim Kardashian showed up with her friend, Caroline D'Amore. And seriously, whatever anyone says about Kim, she is probably the most stunning individual I've ever seen on a red carpet. Keep that bitch away from my boyfriend, cause she is HOT.
"Dancing with the Stars" got represented on the carpet with appearances from Ian Ziering, Stacey Keibler and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. And anyone I didn't recognize, I imagine is probably a stray Pussycat Doll, or ANTM reject who had trouble finding their way home.
