Even Angelina Jolie Has Her Paparazzi Limits

The good news here is that she was with her kids and caring for them. The bad news is that when you make-out with other people's significant others on the red carpet, do heroin, make out with your brother on national television, put vials of blood around your neck, have adulterous affairs with extremely famous men, move to Cambodia, and adopt children from all over the world, chances are good that you're going to attract a WHOLE LOT of media attention and parasitic paparazzi! We reap what we sow.

Jesus Christ-I would be furious too. Personally, I don't want to see a photo of someone giving their kids a bath-that's a private moment that every parent, including celebrities should be able to enjoy.

This is bull shit. This story started in the UK a few days ago (see National Ledger days ago) and was about a photographer who cut a hole in the fence to take a picture of the children playing. OK - that's bad. He was charged and he did apologize to them, but not before Angie had a screaming hissy fit and threatened to leave the movie even if it cost her a BILLION DOLLARS. OLD NEWS. Now someone, probably Angelina has embellished this and even added a kidnap thread (see US Weekly). Angie. Leave the kids at home OR get some real security OR stop using your kids for publicity's sake.

I think pics of celebrity kids became hot when Angie started whoring out Maddox about 6 years ago.

Sux I didn't know about this post yesterday. I missed on all the good stuff. I don't care if she's a celebrity that does not give anyone the right to invade her property in order to get photos of her being a mother. And don't act stupid y'all know the reason she sold those pictures of Shiloh and Pax is because the media were going to get it anyway. She just created the means as to how the pictures were taken and who was getting the money in exchange. The thing is Angie has always been open about her life and has never had a problem sharing but there has to be limits. She is one of the most composed celebrities when it comes to paps she doesn't yell or scream at them. She doesn't throw things or swings at them. She is very polite to them and this is how they do her.

They all deserve it! It's part of the business. As the old saying goes "if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen". Many more famous (and actually more talented) actresses than Angelina Jolie have managed to avoid the paparazzi very well. How is it that THEY do this? Beautiful, talented women like Jodie Foster, Hillary Swank, Reese Witherspoon, Anne Hathaway, and Natalie Portman manage to keep themselves out of the gossip rags (for the most part). How do you think they do this?

None of them sell magazines. Angie and Brad just try to live a normal life the best they can. The media turned them into this monster and that is quite frankly beyond them. You mean to tell me taking your kids for a stroll is a cry for attention. When Angie was pregnant with Shiloh her and Brad were pretty much silent for a whole year. Angie did an interview with Ann Curry about creating educational opportunities for African children but that was it. And the press was all over them like white on rice. It's beyond their control.

It might very well be beyond their control now, but it wasn't "beyond their control" at some point. Angelina sexualized her own self, and she pulled a number of attention-getting stunts in front of the press. She created her own image. So OF COURSE they're going to haunt her! And Brad Pitt LOVES flaunting his good looks and body in front of the media. Not only that, but he left his wife and hitched up with Angelina quite shortly thereafter. These are media-attracting choices that both of them made and now they think they can turn all of that off??? Not so. It's kind of like Prince sexualizing himself and exposing all of his oddities to the world via his image and music and now that he's a Jehovah's Witness he wants it to tone down. Well it doesn't work like that. Angelina could very well have lived an actresses life and kept her private life and sexual life separate, if she had chosen to do so. She didn't. End of story.

One other possibility --- this entire thing could be a set up. AJ knows full well that the public has very mixed feelings about her and her inconsistent behavior. In addition, maybe she's using this opportunity to garner empathy and support from all of the mothers in the world. We all know she uses the media for her own good. If she did this, it's a very smart move on her part. People do fall for this sh*t.

Come on now if Jolie were REALLY concerned she would have a publicist which she doesn't. She would be issuing out statements and doing heartwarming interviews with Diane Sawyer with her kids all over her. There would be interviews in magazines with her and Shiloh and being all kissy face with her. She would go on Oprah and win her over with her love of Africa and praising Oprah for what she does. I was at the grocery store this morning and noticed quite a few magazine publications claiming that Brad and Angelina have split (and it wasn't just Life & Style and STAR). While I don't believe everything I read, of course, I have noticed a pattern of magazines ultimately being right about these things. Thoughts on this?

Absitively, posolutely T-Bone. I was just talking to someone the other day about this very thing-standing in line at the grocery. We read that there is trouble in marital paradise, the subject's spin team kicks in and makes sure the couple in question is photographed together, preferably looking blissful and then WHAMO the headlines read 3 months later that the said couple are splitting and would appreciate their privacy at this most difficult time...yep, I've noticed it too!

I'm not going to act delusional it is quite possible that Angie and Brad may break up. Normal people have issues with everyday life so I can only imagine what they go through with the schedules, the kids, the paps, and so on. It's pressure and it's hard to maintain happiness or satisfaction with that kind of pressure. I just don't think it's right that they're treated as mere tabloid entertainment they are real people with a real family and a real relationship.

Sue -- I've noticed that from the time that we start hearing about problems between these celebrity couples, it takes about a full year for the actual split. There seems to be about 4 months of denial, 4 months of media spinning, 4 months of trying to salvage the relationship and then BAM! -- splitsville.

My personal feeling is that we're in about the 9th Month with Angelina & Brad.

I've noticed that as well when a celeb is 'exposed' to be *gasp* gay, or a crack-head, or whatever other 'shocking' dirt that can be exposed. There is big money in celeb's private lives.
You are right about some celebs keeping themselves real and out of the tabs though. Many do it successfully and for many years, they just don't ever put themselves there in the first place, they keep their paraphernalia hidden, you know?

This split (if it happens, which I believe it will) will definitely be a slow one, because there are biological and adopted children involved. IN addition, both of these celebs have big images to protect. I would imagine that they're going to be very careful about how they arrange all of this. Neither wants to look like they're abandoning their children, I'm sure. They've often said they are "committed to the children" (which is kind of a nice way of saying but we're not really committed to one another). Time will tell.
