Well said Lisa, how can anyone think driving drunk is acceptable and should be legal if you are wealthy. Never mind the suspended license driving under the influence is what got her in this position. I just hope Paris and her mother take the time to research (scratch that ask their people who have one brain cell) the number of deaths caused by those who are impaired behind the wheel of a dangerous weapon (car). Young people need a positive example to follow, having Paris do her time for her crime is justice and a good example. This isn't about who she is, its about the fact she could have caused innocent lives to be lost and doesn't seem to care one bit about her actions. Her only pain is she has to follow the law. Whipping out a credit card would not bring back the pain of losing a loved one to a drunk driver. Not to mention Kathy your daughter could afford to have someone drive her anywhere she wanted to go, sober or not. Baffling isnt it that she didn't. Word to the wise if you are going to drink, do not drive. REPEAT DO NOT DRIVE.

what's really pathetic and disgusting is that Mamma hilton feels that her daughter shouldn't have to own up to her mistakes like every other person on earth who the hell does she think she is? and i'm one of those people who are serving their country over in Spain (Yeah i know tough duty j/k) and it makes me really upset that we have people like this who think their above the law if you ask me she got off fairly easy i hope to God that she comes out of this with a new lease on life but we all know what happened the last time she vowed to change her life that was right after the sex tape and look where she is now i have no remorse for her and its sad to see that her parents are blaming everybody but their daughter the judge didn't force her to drink and drive!!!! it just goes to show that money doesn't buy class or common sense

It is depressing to read/hear all the attention she is getting over this. Seems to me the best way to make Paris go away is to stop printing her picture and talking about her; these two actions alone would be world-ending to her. Really, she has PETITIONS online for and against her...it is just ridiculous.
Also, Lisa is right, Paris' mother is doing her a huge disservice by not telling her to suck it up and get it over with...of course I'm sure her mother would react in a similar fashion had it be she who got caught...the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Lisa, you are so right. Ignorance is never an excuse. Anyone else who got caught driving TWICE on a suspended license stemming from a DUI would have to face the same sentence. For once, Paris is no different then anyone else and it's probably killing her.

Nobody is above the law. Kathy Hilton cannot make what is wrong to be right simply because she is rich. Her daughter has broken the law and she must be punished for it. What is the fuse? Bitch please. "A waste of taxpayer money" you say, Kathy Hilton? I, like most other tax paying citizens, am annoyed when its time to give my hard earned money to the government. However, this is one rare occasion that I am more than happy to give them some cash. Hell, I'd even donate some extra money.

If Paris were to get off scot free, THAT would be the real waste of taxpayer money. I pay taxes so that the goverment can function and do its job, ie: enforcing laws and punishing those who break them. If my money isn't being spent to prevent drunk drivers from being on the road, what the hell is it being used for?

I am one of those people that was hit by a drunk driver. I have scares on my face from the wreck where I went through the windshield and have back problems that I will have to live with the rest of my life. What's 45 days? That's nothing compared to the loss of life and the pain of living with the injuries that people like Paris have caused. I would expect someone that has done what she did to be publicly asking for forgivness and not trying to minimize what she did. Mabbe she needs to HIRE someone to explain morals and good values to her.

Perhaps they should throw Kathy in jail with Paris. After all, I believe that giving birth to the twit and raising her to be the spoiled brat she is should be a crime.

By the way, did you know the Hilton's recently 'skipped out' on an over $500.00 dinner bill at a posh restaurant?

Kathy Hilton told the restaurant Manager, she "forgot" her credit card(s) at home!!!. Then she said she'd call her credit card number in to the restaurant the next day. Yeah, right.

Of course Kathy didn't call the restaurant - it's been 3 days now and counting.

Nice HONEST bunch of people eh?. What a bunch of primadonnas - NOBODY forgets to bring their plastic to a restaurant!!.

Truly, this is one of the most dysfunctional families in the U.S.A. And I wouldn't doubt if Paris' so-called "medical condition" was drug related - that's why she flipped out after just 3 days in lockup --- she was going through WITHDRAWL.
