Offering up a solution to Los Angeles County's overcrowding problem in the jail system, Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has suggested the possibility of housing Paris Hilton in Tent City, his notoriously bare bones jail facility, which doesn't even have air conditioning. The inmates sleep in tents on bunks, making the cost of running Tent City incredibly low. Arpaio spoke with L.A. County's chief of jails and made the offer as a creative solution to avoid allowing the heiress to walk away from her sentence scot-free.
"I just made an offer," Arpaio said. "Instead of reducing her sentence, which I feel is wrong, why not bring her over here? We can incarcerate her here. She can do her time over here."And according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's department, the Los Angeles County Sheriff is considering the proposal.
"Oh, I'd love to have her here," Arpaio said. "Just another celebrity. Not that I'm a publicity hound, but I'd imagine if I had her in these tents there'd be (publicity)."
Ooh, I rather like it. Hey Paris, want to know what's hot? The Arizona desert without air-conditioning in the summer.

Wow, this is the first time ever that I'm behind Sheriff Joe. He's an ass, but he's got a helluva good idea here. And that tent city ain't no joke either - it'll be 110+ by the time she'd (theoretically) get there, and it's literally a tent and some bunk beds and that's it. No spas, no AC, no chefs... Oh, and they get baloney sandwiches for their meals. Bwah-hahaha, I wonder if Paris even knows what baloney IS!

I live in AZ and did 10 days in tent city on a DUI ( nothing I am proud of an have not been behind the wheel since 5 years with a drop of booze in me ). I did it in the summer and I can tell you it's a friggin horrific experience and I was on a work release program only in at nights and weekends. Sounds like Ms. Hilton will not get that priviledge. The food and the heat and the shared facilities are what were most punishing and my standard of living is no where near poor little Paris's. What fun it would be, not to mention what an incredible lesson for her to grow the f up. I used to despise Joe A. but now that I am a law abiding citizen, who cares if hes a media whore, who isn't these days.
