Prince Harry 051607
(WENN)

Whew! I don't know if the world could have survived the potential loss of this hotness . Despite previous reports, including ASL's, Prince Harry is NOT going to Iraq.

Britain's Prince Harry will not be heading to Iraq to serve with his regiment, PEOPLE confirmed Wednesday.

The head of the British Army cited the threat not only to the prince's safety but to those around him since the young royal would be a magnet for insurgents. He also said that the coverage in the media had hindered the security for the prince.

More on the decision not to send Prince Harry over to Iraq after the jump.

Confirming his decision not to send the prince, Chief of the General Staff, General Sir Richard Dannatt, said in a statement, "There have been a number of specific threats, some reported, and some not reported, which relate directly to Prince Harry as an individual. These threats place not only him but also those around him a degree of risk that I now deem unacceptable."

He added, "I know Prince Harry will be extremely disappointed and his soldiers will miss his presence in Iraq."

Hmm, I wonder if the head of the British Army is enjoying his new fully paid for summer villa on Lake Como in Italy complete with his autographed photo of Prince Charles. I smell bribery. Whatevs, as long as young Harry can report back to the pub and retain his sexy.

So where is he going instead? The Cotswolds ? Vegas?

Seriously, all i have to say is WHO WOULD HAVE THUNK that Harry would be the hotest out of these two brothers???????

M_J_K I think the reason behind him being better looking is that he doesn't have the same father as William... check this link out for a guess at who Harry's biological father might be.

He looks a lot more like him than Charles!

I wondered if I was the only one who finds him stunning...yummmm

Poor William already hit his peak, didn't he?

D ~ I have heard about Hewitt prior to this, however I never actually took a good side-by-side. I am reluctant to admit it...but the lips and nose are very very similiar...not to mention the hair...

Hmmmm...thanks for posting the link.

It would have been quite a change to see someone as privileged as Harry get in harm's way, just like the thousands of poor boys and girls being sent to Iraq.

SanDiegoClubs, Prince Andrew, Prince Harry's uncle, served during the Falklands War.

I understand the comments about Harry getting out of serving in Iraq, but putting him there would just endanger his company. It doesn't make sense to send him and then have to protect him from the crazies that try to take him hostage or whatever...it is commendable that Harry wanted to serve though.

Harry is definitely hotter than William and, yeah, who'd have thought? (I've always suspected Harry was Hewitt's but I'm SURE the Royals would have done a dna test AND Harry looks a lot like Diana's brother too.)

Sending Harry to Iraq spells disaster for British National Security. Even with the news/rumors/whatever that surround him. After all, he still is considered a member of the Royal Family...

FYI-to both SanDiegoClubs & Andrea,

Queen Elizabeth served in WWII watch the movie "The Queen" she discusses it within the movie, it is easily verified information. Plus Prince Harry WANTED to go it's not like he's avoiding going by using his status. HE VOLUNTEERED...honestly, let's wait & see if we see him in casual society in the upcoming months. These reports could very well be a ploy to through off insurgents.

Wow! I had never heard the Hewitt theory!

AJ, William definitely peaked mid-late teens. Now he's starting to look like his pop.

Sending Harry to Iraq would be painting a big red bulls eye on his back and endangering the entire company. The UK government definitely made a smart decision. I don't believe this is a spoiled royal shirking his duty. He did volunteer for service.

MJK-he not only volunteered, he reportedly became really angry when told that he may not be able to serve in Iraq.
For a Royal, he appears to be a pretty stand-up guy and I bet his mom would be very proud of him...well, except for the Nazi costume!

As far as who is Harry's father, I don't think it's Hewitt. Look at pictures of Diana's brother, Charles...he was a little red-head, too. Also, one of Diana's sister is still a red-head. But then again, I'm a huge Diana fan & refuse to believe that she would have another man's child while married to Prince UpChuck. I could be wrong. =)
