When former "American Idol" contestant Sanjaya (SANJAYA!) wanted to sing Janis Joplin's "Mercedes Benz," he found himself at an impasse.
The "American Idol" reject told Seattle's KISS 106.1 that during American Idol's country week he wanted to sing the Janis Joplin song "Mercedes Benz," but wasn't allowed to because "we're sponsored by Ford."Well at least he got to throw the baby out with the "Bathwater." Get it? Yeah, me neither. It makes no damn sense. Malakar also expressed a desire to return to his old life, in Federal Way, Washington. saying that what he missed most was:
"Being able to walk around the streets singing really, really loudly and not worrying about anyone one recognizing me or caring -- or getting ripped on by Simon."I love that he apparently lives in the little French town from Disney's "Beauty and the Beast."

Fran says:
The 'throwing the baby out with the bathwater' line is a historical reference. Back in the good ol' medieval days when baths were few and far between, the entire noble family would use the same tub of water for their annual bath, starting with the patriarch first then down the family line. By the end, need less to say, the water was a mite filthy when the babies were bathed and there were some instances recorded where confusion caused a baby to be lost, drowned, and thrown out with the dirty "bathwater."
There's your irrelevant and rambling explaination of a historical refernce for the day

dudes. I went to high school in Federal Way, Washington. That is not something I will openly admit. It is a horrible, horrible cross sectioning of the worst white trash you ever dreamed of. It is a town named after a street. So I guess what I am saying here is ARE YOUR FUCKING KIDDING ME???
You mean you'd rather go back to taking your dates to the fucking Black Angus at the Seatac Mall?
jesus kid, take your chance and get out while you can before you start attending your high school reunion every friday night at the Red Robin.
Zoe says:
What? LOL. I saw Sanjaya and his mother in Seattle at an autograph signing event. They said they were moving to Los Angeles in September.
And they don't even live in Federal Way anymore. The mother moved to a house in some suburb outside Seattle. But the kid hasn't been home much. Spending more time in L.A. and NY.
hmweis1 says:
Yeah, if that little French town involves bullets whizzing by your head. Federal Way is scary.
jolierancher says:
They should remake the Jungle Book and have Sanjaya star as Mowgli.
He'd be perfect and the CGI-loving studios could wet themselves creating tigers, bears, leopards etc...
