There Was No Partying After the Cannes Premiere of 'A Mighty Heart'

After watching that trailer, I have to say....Angelina needs to work more on getting foreign accents right in her films. She doesn't sound French (which is M Pearl's nationality?). Ange is using her standard sultry, exotic foreign accent that encompasses every nationality (think Alexander's mother in that Oliver Stone movie).

For the money she's earning, she needs to step it up a bit.

Even though I love Brad and Angelina to death, I don't think I want to see this picture. Also I don't think it will be a big box office pull. But I do wish them very well with their film, And I will surly purchase the DVD rather I go to see it or not.

Like the pic's, Brad is looking well rested.

They look so good together. I'm definitely going to see the film. The movie got a good review and of course there's already Oscar buzz. So we'll see if Angie will get a second one.

If you actually look at Angelina Jolie's body of work, the movies she's in are all horrible. And she's horrible in them. I have no idea how she gets heralded as an actress. Since I feel this way about her work and because I think her Oscar for 'Girl Interrupted' was bullocks, this is somewhat of a surprise for me to say...

It appears from the trailor that Angelina Jolie just might make her very first Oscar-worthy performance in "A Mighty Heart."

I saw a special this weekend on HBO about Marianne and Daniel where Marianne spoke about what happened and who was involved... etc. Angelina sounds just like her. During the voice overs in the trailor, I wasn't sure if it was Angelina or Marianne herself speaking.

Well done.

I'm looking forward to seeing this film and for Marianne and Daniel and their son, I hope it's well-received.

Looks like Brad is morphing again, his hair is the same shade/color as A.J.'s. He does look so much better w/o the hat though...

I don't have a lot of her movies. My favs of her are of course Gia, Girl Interrupted, Taking Lives, and Mr. & Mrs Smith. I liked her in Alexander unfortunately that movie was horrible. But the thing is she was really never mainstream. Except for Tomb Raider.

Brad looks like he's aged 10 years, Angie looks healthier in the pics, I dont think this will be a box office hit, too depressing, and its way too early for oscar buzz. but let the propoganda begin anyway, this movie will do just a good as the 9/11 one did with Nic Cage

I think that's probably the best i've ever heard Jolie take on an accent (in my opinion). Her English accent was pathetic in Original Sin & TR, her Greek was horrendous in Alexander, but seems she might have gotten this one.

As much as i dislike Angelina Jolie as an actress and as a celebrity figure, i may, due to the story and subject, actually see this.

(and yes, it does pain me to say that! =P)

Nah - Jen would never wear that frumpy dress or those blah boats. I have a pair of those shoes, and I'm 65, but mine aren't in a gorilla size.

Laineygossip.com has the complete run down of the Cannes press conference. She said they were definitely together. And I agree with her whatever they're selling I am definitely buying.

B/A are just the best. I'm hoping this movie does well. I love every thing that they both have done except for "The Good Sheppard" I really did'nt like that move much.

Angelina actually looks like a human being, with feelings and all in these photos. She's either evolving as a person and becoming more comfortable with herself (without all of the attention-getting ploys), or she's great at putting on fronts. Time will tell.

One things for certain -- she is quite beautiful.

I hate the outfit, and Jen definitly wouldn't wear that old frock. I won't see the movie, I think her accent is shiteous, the only movie that she was in that I liked, was Taking Lives, and I think I liked it because Ethan Hawke was in it.

I'm shocked that they are actually showing affection. They haven't touched or smiled at each other in two years.

Ange does look better that's for sure! She's been looking like something out of a George Romero flick for the last year.

I actually don't mind the outfit. Call it a frock or ugly or whatever, but the truth is that it's flattering and it's not slutty. It's kind of the "less is more" concept. She is definitely physically beautiful, so she doesn't need a lot of other sh*t on her body.

I agree that the dress is not the best. But she still looks nice. There are some pictures of them on the Red Carpet at the Cannes. Brad has on a very nice Tuxs, And though Angie looks nice, I think she could have kicked it up a notch, seeing that Brad had on an expensive looking Tux. But They still looked nice

I think her outfit is fine for the event. Especially since she's just a t-shirt and jeans type of person. Her outfit is simple but elegant. She doesn't need a lot. She doesn't wear a lot of jewelry or makeup. I love her hair. Is her outfit St. John's? Probably. I love how Brad's hair now matches hers. Cool.

They have shown affection before. It's not this is the first time ever. Before Angelina had a lot on her mind with her mother being so sick, but she was still very affectionate to Brad.

It's funny to me when I here people dismiss her as an actress. I think they forget that first, Angelina, in a supporting role stole the film, 'Girl Interupted' from Winona. She brought to life like no other one could the life of supermodel 'Gia' and won a Golden Globe for it. Some of her films have cult like followings like 'Foxfire' and 'Hackers'. Her so-called failures are less about the quality of the films and more about box-office receipts. Some I didn't care for and some I enjoyed. But then don't take my word for it. Recent buzz for this film has high praise for Angelina's role in it both as actor and creative colaberator.

Her two best perfomances, Gia and Girl Interupted, she "played" a crazy person. It wasn't a stretch.
