Mosci is the cutest and by far the most cheerful boutique on Melrose Ave. Located on Melrose and Fairfax, right across from Fairfax High School, and often overshadowed by its neighbor, Ed Hardy, Mosci carries a mix of high-end Brazilian lines. Colcci, Vide Bula, and Doc Dog are a few of the designers that feature high-quality, pretty, printed dresses and tops at Mosci.
With their amazing location, Mosci certainly has a star clientele; Janeane Garofalo recently stopped by to pick up the popular Colcci skinny low-cut jeans, as well as a few casual tops in fun colors. Stylists for Shakira and the Disney Channel have stopped by Mosci to find unique pieces from the well-known Brazilian lines. Colcci is a line that's just becoming big in Hollywood after years of popularity worldwide. Paris Hilton and Giselle Bundchen recently campaigned the Colcci line in Brazil, and Shakira was seen wearing Colcci at several publicity events in LA. No doubt all from Mosci.

My favorite part of Mosci, of course, are the few racks of gorgeous designer dresses on sale for 30% off. A mix of patterned and off-white, beige, and grey clothing all designed for the Brazilian summer breeziness that can be worn any time of day, to any occassion. The shoes are great too, with Brazilian brand peep-toe flats made from recycled plastic ($68) plus super cute LA designers Miss Me shoes for only $35. I couldn't resist the Miss Me pointy navy blue espadrille flats with white polka dots and the kitten-heal teal, white, and gold heart shoes...cute and cheap, who could ask for more? I also snagged a little aluminium ashtray with a heart motif, which will be perfect to use to store my ever-growing jewelry collection.
Flavia, the owner and buyer for Mosci certainly has great taste. She incorporates a mix of expensive clothing and inexpensive accessories, plus great packaging and a cheerful star motif throughout the store. Bright and sunny, just like my favorite Brazilian people!
