Here's the thing - it was a political debate that became personal, and the producers of "The View" should be ashamed for split-screening it ala Jerry Springer.

I'm politically a moderate, and while I think Elisabeth Hasselbeck comes across as ill-informed and shrill, Rosie O'Donnell was clearly bullying her. Both were wrong.

But for Alicia Silverstone to behave so rudely to one of the hosts is inexcusable and unprofessional. Even if she disagrees with Hasselbeck's stance, she should still have shaken her hand politely, at minimum.

And what is it with juvenile antics on that show? I hear O'Donnell's chief writer was escorted out of the building yesterday for defacing pictures of Hasselbeck.

Hah! I sent in the scoop on this story about 5 minutes after the show aired. Everyone was talking about Rosie and Elisabeth, but NO one was talking about the fact that Aleee-see-ya (*eyeroll*) was a complete cnut when she walked onstage. The look on Elisabeth's face as Aleee-see-ya barrelled by her tells the whole story. When E sits down, she looks like she wants to pummel Aleee-see-ya with a porterhouse.
