Ryan Seacrest is blaming Simon Cowell for the ratings drop "American Idol" took this season . What a catty bitch. Maybe people are just tired of this show? I love "24" but even I realize the day might be over. Maybe people are tired of all of these plastic-ass "singers" coming out of the "Idol" cookie cutter. Maybe people are tired of YOU, Seacrest, and your blond highlights and your various beards.
When asked about the decline, reports Canada's Globe and Mail, Seacrest replied, "Well, the knee-jerk reaction would be Simon."Seacrest says there's just too much of the acid-tongued judge: "Clearly there's an over saturation of his character." Seacrest pointed out that the ratings are still high, and addressed buzz that bosses want to change some of the "Idol" judges. "That's clearly rumor," he said. "I'm positive you can't recreate the chemistry that we have with the group on 'American Idol.'"
Way to backpedal in the same interview, honey.

That's interesting...I actually tivo AI and fast forward it as soon as I see Ryan pop onto the screen. I can't stand that little tool (even though I will admit he was good in Knocked Up) and how he loves to argue with Simon just for the sake of arguing. Regardless of what he thinks, he's NOT one of the judges and I could care less what his opinion is.
Oh and how about this...maybe the ratings for Idol are down because they've padded the show with so much crappy, stupid filler just so they can get more advertising money that the show is at time un-f'ing-bearable to watch.
Ryan makes his living off of Simon and Simon-bashing. He should kiss Simon's feet and shut the hell up. Douchebag.

Simon is the reason why anyone over 12 watches that show. I find Seacrest tries too hard, acts like the show is his and basically annoys this viewer enough to change the channel whenever he speaks. His "banter" is childish and boring. He is the biggest phony in the auditions when he kisses up to people then slams them and makes fun of them behind their backs.
ps: people over 12 watch the show to hear Simon be honest (refreshing) and see Paula weird out.)

You've got it, J- I didn't watch AI past the 1st season because of Seacrest and the banality of the whole "I wanna be popular" boobery amongst decidedly average kiddos.
Cowell's tired, but Seacrest simply ILLS. I'd like to think Chi Chi LaRue could turn him into something redeemable, but I think I'm overestimating him there.

Not to be rude(now I sound like Simon), but responses like yours are the very reason that Simon and Ryan play this foolish game. It's just SOOO easy to fool people into thinking they are feuding even when they are obviously joking. Simon was interviewed TWICE on Ryan's radio show in the past two weeks. One right after this, and they spent the entire interview flirting.
