When Angie wasn't busy censoring reporters recently, she did speak up about why she looks so thin. I thought she looked slim and elegant, as an accomplished actress, UN delegate-type, and global candidate for sainthood should!
At the NYC premiere of A Mighty Heart Wednesday night, Jolie, 32, told reporters that the reason she's been shedding pounds is because she's been grieving over the death of her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who died of ovarian cancer in January."I've always been lean and this year I lost my mom and I've gone through a lot," said the actress, who is currently in New York with boyfriend Brad Pitt, 43, and their children, Maddox, 5, Pax, 3, Zahara, 2, and one-year-old Shiloh.
"I have four kids and I finished breastfeeding - it's been hard to get my nutrition back on track."
Jolie also said that people assumed it was vanity and because she was trying to fit into her skinny jeans. How come this didn't happen to me when my father died? Dude, I didn't gain or lose weight - I remained at the same level of pudge I had always been at. I want an emotionally devastating experience to make me starve myself so I can wear black stovepipe jeans and a punky belt and a striped t-shirt and an asymmetrical haircut so I look like a hipster from Brooklyn. They get all the hot ass. I look like your fat retarded brother got mainstreamed and gets a discount from stocking shelves at night at Target.

I missed the interview, But she is very thin, and needs to do something (see a doctor maybe) about the weight, she needs her health for her children, and should think about them, they need both their parents. I wish her well

In all fairness to Ang, when my Dad died I lost a bunch of weight myself...I was 5'5 and 115 pounds before his death and dropped like 10 pounds (which isn't a TON, but on a smaller framed person it can look like it is)...

I was also thinking how when she was first pregnant with Shiloh she shriveled up then then her belly popped out. But I just had that feeling. She really needs this time off because the stress is obviously eating her up. But it looks like she has gained some weight, not a lot but some.

I'll say it again --Angelina Jolie has serious unaddressed mental health issues. It sounds like she is struggling with her mom's death, and I can empathize with her feelings on this. But there's a longer list of problems here as well, and Angelina needs to stop adopting children and getting pregnant, and start dealing with these issues before she mentally and physically collapses. It's time for the denial-fest to end.

You know how they always say the "camera adds 10 lbs"? Well she looks emaciated in pictures..how thin is she really? I think Mr Pitt needs to step in and get her some help before her health is seriously compromised. After all isn't that what you do when you love someone..or do you stand by and watch them be in obvious denial and just waste away? These two need to find a home and stay there for awhile, love on their current kids and get healthy. Brad needs to grow a spine and be a man. As much as I detest Angelina, I can see how going through a troubling time can leave her with no desire to eat much. When I was dumped by a boyfriend, I lost several pounds in just 2 weeks. The ONLY thing I ate per day was apple slices, a single serving bag of chips, and a candy bar. Very unhealthy, but since that was all I felt like eating each day, I actually lost weight.
