In a tragic turn of events that is being treated by authorities at the moment as a double homicide-suicide, World Wrestling Entertainment's Chris Benoit, his wife and son were discovered Monday in their home. Nancy and Chris Benoit, who have been married since 1985, were found dead in their home in Fayetteville, Georgia along with their 7-year-old son, Daniel. Both Nancy and Chris worked in the arena of wrestling, with Chris performing as a wrestler, and Nancy managing several wrestlers in addition to her performances in the ring. By Tuesday, officials expect autopsy results to be available. From People:
Speaking to the paper, Fayette County District Attorney Scott Ballard said of the case, "The details, when they come out, are going to prove a little bizarre." Ballard, while declining to say how the fatalities occurred, also told the AP that no gun was used in the deaths.Things seemed to have to begun unraveling Saturday, when Chris was not available to perform at two WWE events scheduled to take place that night in Texas, citing a "family emergency." Then, at the behest of friends who had received bizarre text messages from Benoit, the Sheriff's Department was contacted on Sunday to run a welfare check on the Benoit family.
This is all so strange and sad. Our sympathies go out to their friends and family.

Don't forget to check your facts: Nancy and Chris were married in 2000, not 1985.
