And with 50% off, the budget shopper can certainly splurge on a few classic, designer pieces.

Owner Eve Newhart openly admits that prior to opening Wicati a mere eight months ago, she was not a shopper, which one would never guess from her impeccable taste. Wicati caters to the stylish working mom, complete with a play area for children and helpful staff so as to give Mom a chance to breathe and focus. The shop is in no way frumpy; UCLA ladies should check out Wicati for stylish, modern cut suits as well as the best deal: SeeThru Soul Jeans that go for only $67. I picked up my birthday dress at Wicati: a metallic, ruched, beautifully-tailored dress by RN Covertable for under $150 (a girl's gotta splurge on her birthday!)
There are sooo many unique dresses, tops, shoes and jewelry, but my favorite part of Wicati is Newhart's passion for giving back to her community. Newhart is a Nephrologist in LA who still volunteers at various hospitals in the city. She holds many different events at Wicati geared towards working Moms. Next Thursday July 19 at 7pm, Wicati is hosting "Feeding Fussy Eaters: How to Help Your Kids Make Healthy Choices," with Lauren Rashap, RD. The biggest and most exciting fundraiser this month is coming up on Thursday, July 26th, 7pm: "A Special Pampering 'Mom's Night Out' Event", with 10% of sales going to benefit "Step Up Women's Network" (www.stepupwomensnetwork.org). The evening features style tips from Gili Rashal, stylist and creator of www.thetipjar.com, as well as make-up tips, chair massages, and sweet treats!
