Kelly Clarkson looks sweet as pie in this pictures. I really do enjoy the various textures and colors of the dress, but think that if it were long that it would be too much. As it is, it's short and I approve. However, she isn't all Mary Sunshine all the time, as evidenced by the following quote of hers in Blender Magazine, aimed at her arch-nemesis Clive Davis.
"I don't know you very well, and I am not a bull-[bleep]er. I get [that] you don't like the album. You're 80; you're not supposed to like my album."Whoah, Kelly. Them's fighting words. I want to see these two running into each other and then doing the whole chest-bump-in-preparation-for-kicking-your-ass thing.

Eh...she's a down home Texas girl. That sort of language from a girl is nothing around here. On the real, though, that ensemble is great. I haven't seen her look that stylish in ages.
whoa Kelly! says:
Kelly should be careful. Clive Davis could probably ruin her career if he wanted to.
JulieBall says:
I LOVE her outfit!I wonder who designed it?
nicole says:
selma blair said it best: "i like to have a sense of appropriateness in my dress because what comes out of my mouth usually isn't". kelly's playing the game well.
Angie says:
Who does the Kelly Clarkson thinks she is disrespecting the legendary producer Clive Davis. We're talking about Clive Davis. The man who put Janis Joplin, Aretha Franklin, and Whitney Houston on the map. KC is a small town hick who's only in the music biz because of a reality show. Without the people, Simon, and Clive she would be in her little town in Texas working at McDonalds or Wal-Mart. Shut the f*ck up!
somthin2say says:
i think if anything is going to kill her "career",
it's her weight. or singing. my god she turned out to be a porker, didn't she?
Mr. T says:
Her head looks like a melon that is going to fall off her neck.
Forreal says:
Give me a break...Clive Davis began all this negativity by disrespecting Kelly - and countless others I'm sure. He is not God you know, he is just a man who needs to come back down to earth. Just because you are successful you should have carte blanche to treat people like garbage. Good for her for not running for cover. Her self-respect is more important. I feel sorry for others who've sold their soul to the devil all for the fear of not "disrespecting the legendary Clive Davis."

And how did Clive Davis disrepect Kelly Clarkson? By pulling an "American Idol" on her and telling her the truth (in his "seasoned" opinion) - that her songs suck?
If Kelly doesn't want Clive Davis behind her, she should bow out gracefully. Bow out like a lady. She doesn't have enough power to be badmouthing a legend, especially with her weight problems and the fact that she's just an ordinary-looking girl, nothing spectacular. She is an excellent singer, but that alone will not guarantee her success in the business. A lot of talented, great singers have fallen by the wayside.
I concur that if she is not smart, she could blow the entire deal and easily fade from our memories. One day we might find Kelly on a country farm, barefoot and pregnant with 5 rugrats running around and a herd of cows to milk.
