Isaiah Washington may have left ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" under some pretty deplorable circumstances, but it seems that he won't be absent from the small screen for very long. NBC has decided to take a chance on the actor, who has been plagued with public image issues ever since his very public use of a gay slur came to light. His new project is a five episode arc on the anticipated remake of the sci-fi drama, "Bionic Woman," a new NBC series. According to Reuters:
Washington will play a mysterious figure who is brought into the enigmatic scientific organization behind the "bionics" that transform Jamie, and whose own agenda is unclear as he instructs her on how to handle her new abilities.Additionally, Washington is working with NBC to create a show of his own, described as an "action-series" venture, the inspiration for which originated from Isaiah. Dang, that's not too shabby for a guy who looked like he was on the brink of destroying his career. I need to do something ridiculous, so I can get my own action series. I'm going to go pick a fight with a guy in wheelchair and no legs. God, was that wrong to suggest? Good. Now, gimme a show.

Action series? Yeah, that's exactly the genre you would want to bring someone to who has been known to choke co-stars and make everyone around uncomfortable in virtually every project he's ever done. No wonder NBC can't get its ratings up.

Good luck with that, NBC.
