After visiting a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon's office on Monday, Courtney Love was photographed looking like she'd been subjected to the business end of a drum tightener. Is there such a thing? Well, there is now. And she's using it on her face, which was plenty tight for her performance last night at The Roxy on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles. BFF of ASL, Popbytes took the in the show. MK graciously offered me a ticket to accompany him, alas, I was unfortunately en route to LAX at the time to pick up a friend. (I just included that information to make myself sound like a good person.) However, he did oblige with a cursory description of Courtney's performance. All in all, it was a good show, Courtney delivered some tried-and-true Hole classics, and hit the crowd with some new stuff. Aside from looking dangerously thin and strangely red in the face, MK said that she didn't seem "f*d up," which we're all taking as a good sign. After informing MK that I'd heard that C-Love had probably had some stuff done to her face, he responded that she did in fact look better at her House of Blues performance four weeks ago, but still looking like she was on the Amy Winehouse diet.

Courtney needs and deserves our positive support. Remember, her husband killed himself in their home and left her alone with a small child. That had to have really damaged her, so let's not knock her. Does anyone ever really recover from something like that? Doubtful.

To answer your question: often, when people are naturally thin, they have calves and thighs that are correctly portioned, but when someone loses a bunch of weight, the calf weight tends to turn to muscle and not lose much fat. But, the thighs on the other hand show a clear sign that she's not eating enough. Most overweight folks (not saying that she was "overweight," but in general) when they lose weight, their calves stay extra big. I made this observation while watching "Biggest Loser." This one lady got SUPER skinny in the waist, but had these giant calves because she was working out so much, the fat in the calves turned to pure muscle.
