The child welfare expert from the Malawi government, in charge of reviewing Madonna's adoption of 23-month-old David Banda, has been taken off her case, amidst accusations that he's allowed himself to become too personally involved. Penstone Kilembe was originally planning on making a trip to Britain to stay with the pop singer and her family for nearly a week, in order to monitor the progress of the adoption. However, Kilembe is now being accused of accepting money from the pop-star in order to travel to London, without first receiving the OK from the Malawi government. Kilembe, for his part, claims that he never asked Madonna to provide him with a plane ticket and believes the adoption will be come into jeopardy, should a different government representative be sent in his stead.

He claimed that the decision to exclude him from the final decision on whether or not Madonna is allowed to keep David may result in the child being sent back to Malawi.

"What this means is that the whole adoption process may crumble and David is sent back to his village," he said.

This whole adoption has sounded suspect from the get-go. You just know Madonna is shaking her head and thinking, "I should have just gone with my gut from the beginning and bought the kid on eBay."

This is all kinds of wrong. You can't take a child away after this much time.

She should take lessons from angelina.. Now she knows ho to buy a baby without getting all caught up in red tape

S_M_G-I was thinking the same thing...I don't buy this story though. Madge has enough money to make any adversity go away, and she will, if there is in fact a problem.

How cruel to even contimplate returning this child to his native country after he's known such love and family life, a decent home, lots of good foods, and medical care. He'd not survive in his native country after discovering "the good life" I suppose sometimes being a celebrity isn't such a good thing

They gave her the child no problem and because of the media they want to make him go back..great back in an orpanage swatting flies from his eyes. It's over crowed there and he's been w/ madana for almost a year. The person getting the raw end of the deal is david...from what i can see he is loved

Madonna should defintely return it, or exchange it for a cute one. This one is damn ugly and is going to be even uglier as an adult.

Ah JCarr, he's adorable! Cut it out!

Madge have to return a fashion accessory? How terrible. Will she get her money refunded?

shes not abusing it wouild it really be better of in africa

Even if she does not love him by spending alot if time with im he will have his own credit card with more expense than most people looking down at her by 10-13

Besides the fact that these reports are proven not to be acurate, I highly doubt that Madonna is one to give up her child without a fight (as any mother).

Hey Madge, you might wanna loosen up little David's Kabbalah stringy thing. His little hand looks like it's about to pop off.

Is it normal to let a child live with a family for so long, then take it back? I've never even heard of that happening.

I agree w/Zekers...Madonna can likely buy her way out of this. As with most of life's problems - if you throw enough money at them, they go away.

haha The headlines say it all. Madonna is sick of her baby. Now realizes hubby was right after all and instead of admitting it, will use this sorry excuse to bow out of another commitment. cold hearted snake

Dinigi, I'm with you. Madonna is a snake. She's so attention-hungry, that she will go to great lengths to be seen. What a sickening wench! Hell, I'd rather the kid go back to Africa, with a cash bonus, than stay with that hag. Her time will come one of these days. Guy has wanted to ditch that sea hag a long time ago, but can't, either for both his son's sake and the finances, or simply for his son's sake.Either way, I'd pay to watch this chick freak out. Leave her ass, Guy. Leave her!

If Madonna really cared she would sponsor this child to live with the father or grandmother that came to see it. They could not afford to have him live with them but they did come visit. Why didn't she sponsor him if she wanted to help out?
