The Teen Choice Awards were held last night. Smashtacular TV musical High School Musical 2 beat out all those other sad bitches. HSM2 won Best TV Movie because it had more plastic perkiness than any of the other hags.
Zac Efron's artifical dreaminess and mannequin looks are what's doing it for the young ladies nowadays. You know there was a gnashing of teeth from....wait. Are there a lot of television musicals to compete against? Disney's brilliant. What was the last TV musical that was on? Vanessa Williams as Ebbie Scrooge?
Hilary Duff co-hosted the event with Nick Cannon. I wonder, did Hilary talk to the audience about how she prays for a Nicole Richie miscarriage because that baby should have been hers? The less said about Nick Cannon, the better.
Here's what Fergie had to say (she thanked meth!):
"I have to say this award in particular means so much to me," the Black-Eyed Pea told the young audience. "Because this award isn't paid for ... it's picked by you."
Hannah Montana won some awards, too. Oh, and Dane Cook, brilliant as ever, swore in front of the kids. Thanks, Dane! I need to see Knocked Up now if only to see Ryan Seacrest in his native emotional environment. How come Britney Spears wasn't there? Isn't crazy, pregnant and trashy a good role model?

He appeals to young girls because he is non-threatening. Not overtly sexual. He's the same sort of teen heartthrob that there's been for ages.
It's hardly unique to have a dude who appeals to young girls but seems gay to adults.
How about Lance Bass? Non-threatening, not overtly sexual. He wasn't as big a star (on his own) as Zac but same idea.
