America's Favorite Everylezzie went on David Letterman to have a talk show host-klatch and complained (jokingly I hope) that her job is getting a little boring. She probably has a point. Not every celebrity can be fascinating. For some of these people, winning the genetic lottery is the only interesting thing about them. Cuz' I really want to hear Zac Efron talk about the drudgery of filming "High School Musical 2". I'd rather empty colostomy bags at the old folk's home. Ellen would, too. She may be beloved and get alone with everyone, but even she has her limits.
"What I'm having a hard time with is it's the same questions over and over and over again, and it's the same guests. Some of them, you know, the inside voice is 'wow, you're still working?'" she told Letterman. "I thought, you're going to be a talk show host, you just talk, how easy is this gig? Until you realize some [guests] are better at acting, some people are better at a script."Ellen asked Dave if they could hang out because they have so much in common. Dave responded with "yeah, we both like girls". POW! I wonder if she laughed. It's not an insult or anything and she's out, but does Dave strike you as the type to march in the Pride parade? Richard Simmons is still weeping into his P-town Pete shorts in the corner.

Ha ha. I love Ellen. I love her even more for saying celebs are boring. I only enjoy the 5 minute interviews that John Stewart of the Daily Show does. After five minutes, it's yawn city. That's why I stopped watching Oprah. I say a 30 minute interview with Jennifer Anniston and another mind-numbingly long interview with Matthew McConaughey and I was done. They are not interesting or even intelligent!

OMG - Richard Simmons would be devastated if Ellen became Dave's gay.
That's a throw down I'd pay to watch!

I really liked the first two seasons of her show but then it just became repetitive, so, I can certainly see why she would be getting bored with it. I wouldn't mind seeing in her a GOOD sitcom again.
