I'm going to date myself here but whatevs. Remember on "Facts of Life" (girl-mullet Over Our Heads but pre-Chloris Leachman-era, not girl school or Edna's Edibles-era) when the girls won a contest to sing with DeBarge? And the song was "You Wear It Well"? And you knew Jo wanted to submerge herself into Blair's honeypot? Ok, that part didn't happen but Natalie was still a happy Magic Marker. Anyway, DeBarge was totally hot and one of them was married to Janet Jackson for eight seconds and I don't miss the 80's but I miss some parts of the 80's. Like men with jheri curl with pastel blazers and faux-diamond brooches making guest appearances on hot sit-coms. Oh, El DeBarge was busted for domestic violence.
Pop singer El DeBarge was arrested for domestic violence early Wednesday morning at a Lancaster, Calif. home, the Los Angeles County Sheriffs confirm.Details were not immediately available, but Sgt. John Coffeen tells PEOPLE that DeBarge was "cooperative" and that "an arrest like this usually involves abuse of a spouse or significant other. I don't know whose house it was."
Eldra DeBarge, his true name, is currently in the Los Angeles County lock-up. You know his job at the carwash was bringin' him down. I just read that D'Arcy from Smashing Pumpkins works at a car wash now. That's gotta be a tough break when you had the world in your messenger bag and now it's all can I afford the 12 piece meal. God, he sang "Who's Johnny" from "Short Circuit"! Did he sing that while kicking the ass of his significant other?

rootabega: if I remember correctly, D'arcy was forced out of the band because of her nasty heroin habit.... Ok, that's how rumours get started, shame on me.... Maybe not forced out of the band, but I seem to remember reading of Billy bitching about her being worthless because of her nasty heroin addiction........
