Kate Hudson has been stymied in her attempts to reach out to her ex, Owen Wilson. Owen tried to off himself last week, and he's not doing so well. I saw a picture, and he looks like he got put through a washing machine and then went ten rounds with a large UFC fighter. Who was wielding a hatchet. Depression sucks. Anyway, Owen's family wants her to stay away because they feel she'll only make things worse. Either that or they don't want her scary baby with the long hair near Owen because he might have nightmares. Your male baby shouldn't look like Jodie Foster in "Freaky Friday"!

Kate Hudson is doing just fine without him. She looks might happy with Dax, and Dax seems like a man who can really love her. She doesn't need Owen. She just cares for him because they dated. What's wrong with that?
Blame the woman. I'm sick of it. Women take the heat most of the time because people think they are responsible for the relationship, when it always takes two to sustain it.
I hope Owen is all right, but the family is wrong to blame Kate for his problems. He should seek professional help.

My sympathy level with Owen is wearing thin. I would be more supportive if it even appeared that he was getting some high-level help. He's already put the screws to his friend Ben Stiller on the movie and God knows who else will suffer and he's obviously not seriously seeking therapy. Apparently Owen's family thinks they're better than Kate - NOT.

What's going on with Owen is very sad. Depression is a mutha - I can attest to that. But in the best interest of his recovery, she SHOULD stay away from him, as I'm sure their relationship will just serve as a reminder of things that are not right in his life. To blame Kate for what is clearly a severe case of depression and drug abuse is just wrong. Owen's a grown man (albeit a childlike one) and I'm not sure why his family thinks it's fair to blame his problems on her. It's like those insane parents that want to blame heavy metal on all the stupid shit their kids do - LAME! I hope Owen can find inner peace and rid himself of all the negative people in his life so that he can continue humouring me in a way most actors cannot!

How about this scenario for those who like to think outside the box:
Luke Wilson always had a thing for Owen's girl Kate (typical sibling rivalry) but now he's overwhelmed with guilt.
Luke is the reason the Wilson family cannot have the Miss Hudson contacting them.
I believe Miss Kate is deeply concerned but has enough street smarts to know that now would not be the time to have a chat with Mr. Owen Wilson.

so, i dont really care about who dumped whom. it doesnt matter, cause he turned into a sh--show when they broke up. his family is absolutely right to keep her away. last time i had a depressive episode and started calling my ex my family thought they were going to have to commit me cause i got that much more sick after talking to him. he needs to get his sh-t together for himself and someone who's not going to be there with him every step of the way should stay out of it, or when he's all alone again, it's going downhill fast.

There is a particular "insider" blogger that states that Owen was pissed at Kate for not wanting to marry him, so, he'd fight with her and then go screw around with other women to "show her" but kept bouncing back to Kate for "one more try/booty call" then would dump her again. She got tired of it and quit the booty calls and took-up with Dax. I can believe that.

Owen didn't turn into a sh--show when they broke up. He was long before that (check out the youtube clips of him in "Knocked Up" - that was in June 2006 and he looked like he was falling apart then). He couldn't commit to Kate because of his own persistent, self-destructive patterns with women and realizing THAT may have pushed him over the edge, but it wasn't out of unrequited love for Kate. His family wants people to believe that now because it sounds romantic. Instead of doing damage control, they should have seen that he was spiraling - particularly with his drug use - and done something to help him a while ago. Also, Kate is still currently with Dax Shepherd. Those stories about she and Owen getting back together are not true and Owen is NOT dating Jessica Simpson either...
