Dang. I've seen some pix of George looking all silver and grizzled, but this is the first time I've really seen him looking downright old. I think it's cause his pants look too big. Like he's getting old-man skinny. He is in Italy right now, the home of some of the most awesome food on the planet, so hopefully, he'll get around to eating while he's there. Or maybe he just lost his appetite when asked recently by a reporter about his upcoming Nestle TV commercials. The journalist was among a group of press, who were chatting with George about his film at the festival, Michael Clayton, and decided to quiz the the actor on his choice to star in the TV ads. George, not amused, responded by saying:
"I'm not going to apologise to you for trying to make a living every once in a while. I find that an irritating question."Oh my God, I can totally understand him getting peeved by being asked that, but seriously, he's even starting to sound like an angry, skinny, old man. I wish he would have called someone a "whipper-snapper."

It may not necessarily be drugs. The was a photo a few weeks ago of George with a new, rather large scar across is stomach (check the archives of crazydaysand nights.net). My guess is he had surgery and we are witnessing the after effects. He's lost more weight since Cannes, so I don't think its a drug problem.

He looks alright to me. Maybe a little worn out and thin, but otherwise fine. I'm sure he has a crazy work schedule and he seems to travel a lot.
I also like that he has let his hair go grey like that without doing a nasty Grecian 2000 job on it.

WOW :O George looks exactly like my Father. I'm being serious.. same hair, same beard, same build. That being said, my Dad is 51! This makes me sad too! He's just living La Dolce Vita!!! So many Italians are really, really, really thin. Thin is in! I've been to Italy many times, and always feel like an Amazon next to those people. Don't get me wrong, I JUST LOVE GLI ITALIANI, but they are pretty thin! I think George is just, fitting in. When in Roma! Further to which, I'd still LOVE to see his grizzled ass climbing thru my window any time!!!
