The correct word there is indeed "rats", Green, because that's what they all are. They ride the ship as long as they get fed and live off the fat and when the ride gets bumpy and the food source dwindles, they jump. It's typical Hollywood/music industry stuff. They're all opportunists (KFED included). Britney will pull herself up and be fine. She'll learn the lessons she's supposed to learn and move onward and upward. And those who gleefully danced over her misfortunes will eventually pay their own price. That's how it all goes, just a matter of time.

I hardly think the lawyer and the management team jumped ship due to there being no "food source".

I'm sure they were still getting paid; it's more likely that they couldn't do their job effectively.

In any relationship you have to hold up your end of the bargain. From what I can see her familial and business relationships have been rather one sided they're trying to do everything for her but she has shown to just not care. She desires to self destruct and at this point there's nothing anyone can do but let her. She won't be happy until she hits rock bottom and that is coming real soon.

I feel for her because KFed has taken her to the cleaners and he's not finished. He has humiliated her by dragging every sorry detail of her life into court in his quest to get the children. And it's all about the money. C'mon. He's looking at the big picture. Rapping and break dancing won't be much good to him in 5/10 years time but if he has custody of the children Britney will pay and pay . He treated her like shit when they were married and he's still treating her like shit.

And I don't think she's a little angel done wrong. She's not, but I think she's immature and unable to deal with the sharks around her. K Fed is Judas dressed up as a rapper.

Exactly Green! Exactly! No one is making excuses for ALL of her antics! We all get that she did some stupid things. But she is in NO WAY WORSE than any of her hollywood cohorts, yet she is being dragged through the mud by a man who is the equivalent of circus sideshow, because HE wants fame and fortune! He treated her like sh*t, because he's no man at all (and left his pregnant first girlfriend), and now, because some dirty lawyer has convinced him that if he drags Britney through the mud they can all be rich, he's acting like the caring father! I don't buy it. This guy wants money. And the only people who want her money more than KFED are KFED's smart lawyers. And Green's right! PArt of a custody battle is sharing the truth - no matter how much a "sorry detail" it. Yes - it's all about the money, but Britney made it about the money by seducing the loser with it and PAYING him more for each child he gave her. It's IN the prenup!

Kevin TOLD Britney he didn't believe in marriage, but she (like many dimwit girls) still went after him. She gets what she deserves. Stupid is as stupid does.

Seriously, this may be paranoid but I like conspiracy theories. Bear with me. Maybe Shar Jackson is in it with him. When he was with Shar he was earning peanuts as a back up dancer. She was pregnant with their sceond child. He meets Britney, Britney not being the the most astute fell for him and asked him to marry her. He said to Shar, listen lets play this one out. This is our lucky break. Britney buys Shar a house. Shar bleats on about what a great father is even though he upped sticks when she was pregnant. This 'good father' label is working for him now.

green cardigan - that is more than likely the truth. Shar decided to play the scenarios just like Kevin. The golden goose wanted KFed...how many losers would pass up that opportunity? Plenty of eligible guys passed, but not KFed.

Also - add to your theory the FACT that KFed was setup to meet Britney BY Justin Timberlake that night at Joseph's, and you have an unbelievable but true payback from hell.

I remember seeing pictures of Fester making his wedding vows, (was he in a tracksuit with 'pimp' written on it? Very classy, Fester) and there were tears of joy flowing down his cheeks. He was probably thinking 'this it'll keep me and Shar in bling for a while. Show Me The Money!!'

Truthfully, I don't think ANY of them involved here are smart enough to work a conspiracy, Green. KFed isn't a bright guy, and Shar Jackson (albeit nice) is right behind him. Britney is no rocket scientist either. All the way around, it's a bunch of dumbies being yanked around by their dirty, money hungry lawyers, and so far KFED'S team is winning. SO Britney needs to fight fire with fire and get herself the dirtiest, toughest lawyer in town. Somebody needs to monopolize on the fact that KFED is basically taking care of his other kids with Britney's money!

Whoa, T-Bone! You sure do have it in for lawyers! We all aren't THAT bad, I promise! Besides, lawyers are LEGALLY OBLIGATED to withdraw from representation if a few situations arise (i.e., such as the client wants to do something illegal with the representation). In other situations (i.e., client stops paying her bill or refuses to fulfill her part of a MUTUAL client-attorney contract) an attorney is permitted to withdraw. It's quite likely that some situation arose that forced her lawyer to withdraw. However, it does not end there since the request for withdrawal has to be reviewed by the judge who will consider A LOT of factors before determining whether or not to let her withdraw. In otherwords, it really is a lot more complicated than just up and leaving cuz the money train has stopped.

That said, I think Britney made her own mess and K-Fed and his lawyers are using that mess to take her to the cleaners. It's her own fault. While I hate the idea of someone like K-Fed getting her money, I also can't blame him for doing so since it was Britney herself who pretty much asked for such treatment.

Xicana - Most lawyers make a living off of other people's troubles. However, I'm aware that there is a place for them in society, and that not all lawyers are bad people. I can only hope you're one of the good ones, but only you know that.

As for Britney... You're right....Britney did some stupid things and Kevin's lawyers jumped on it. I consider that blood-sucking behavior from a man who once claimed to love her. Perhaps one day he'll suffer the same type of betrayal and then get a feel for what that feels like.

I do feel sorry for Britney. Seriously, I bet her managers forced her into the VMAs in the first place. Considering she turned down other opportunities such as releasing a song with Timbe(a)rlak(n)e(d) and only doing mini-tours, it's clear she knew she didn't have the chops, yet. However, I wonder if her management even tried to control her or thought they could ride the gravy train. They totally handled her as a kid, why aren't they doing that now?
