And from the looks of these pictures, the thought of her behind the wheel appears to make her children apprehensive as well. Us Weekly talked with L.A. City Attorney's Office rep, Frank Mateljan about Britney Spears driving around with her two young sons in tow, despite facing misdemeanor charges related to the fact that she doesn't appear to be in possession of a valid driver's license. He indicated that the charge stems specifically stems from her August 6th hit and run and that, "It doesn't matter if she has or doesn't have a license now." Well, I'm not sure what that means. But I do know that Sarah Silverman was surprised at the reaction her Britney jokes got on stage at the VMAs.
"The joke that everyone was upset about -- me calling the kids 'adorable mistakes' -- was the most innocuous joke. It never occurred to me that would be deemed hurtful or over the line. I don't want to get into feuds with girls half my age. I'm in it to be funny and not for the drama. It's embarrassing."Either way, I'm sure Britney was way too busy being nearly unconscious at the time to even hear what was going on. I have a feeling she was already in the back of a limo somewhere, rediscovering her nipples by the time Sarah hit the stage.

While i think Brit genuinely cares for her kids, she is too mentally stunted and socially 'tard'd for the kids to have a chance...Ange hires the best nannies and sends the kids to the best schools, but when "mommy" is an ice queen and only pulls you out for pics, your chances are pretty flat-line too....

i work with children who come from dysfunctional homes. it appears these two little ones have already learned that, beside each other, they have no one and certainly not an adult, who can be trusted to keep them safe.

O.K., Brit Brit is a fuck up. But, toddlers, siblings do hold hands. they do. And, if one is crying, which is often the case when mommy has to put them in the car seat, the other my try to comfort the upset one.
So, of course Brit will screw those children up because they'd be better off raised by a pack of wolves...this one photo tells us nothing but big brother and baby brother are holding hands...everything else is added on due to speculation...that's it. We weren't there, we don't know.

Agreed. She is either in the throes of a nervous breakdown or *seems* to be doing drugs.Either way this is not a good situation for the children. Kevin should step up his fight for them (though inhaling the amount of second hand cigarette smoke that man produces can't be that great, either).

Exactly Bobb and lodilynn, everyone here is speculating per usual. One would think by the amount of times the stories out here don't match the photos, and the fact that the "truth" (or made up story) changes daily, that people wouldn't be so sure of themselves and their theories. Here's what's really happening that "oh so sad" photo. Britney is driving with two boys in the back. One looks upset and the other is touching his arm. That's ALL you know. And with photo-shop, you don't even know that for sure. So whatever...

My niece has a tendency to do that, and it's just so nice to see kids who are compassionate towards others.
