Here's Hugh Jackman splashing about on the beach with his kid in Australia. Watch out for stingray spines, Jackmans. That's nothing to toy with. Ask Bindi or whatever her name is.
But Hugh Jackman didn't manage to go unnoticed for long as he read a book to son Oscar on the sand yesterday. The Hollywood star braved the chilly Bondi surf with his boy, making trips into the water with his son by his side.Oscar, who is reported to have played a cameo in his father's new film "Australia" then lay next to his dad as he read a novel. The seven-year-old had a body board with him for a typical day at the beach.
Jackman cut a fine figure as he strode out of the waves with his buffed chest, drawing the attention of women on the beach. Only the interest from the ladies, who called out to friends about his presence, set him apart from the rest of the dads.
Hugh is finishing up "Australia" with Nicole Kidman, and then will go on to film "Wolverine"! Yay! Get that wig out now! I'm sure it will be stupid as hell, but Wolverine's kinda hotsy.

It's not at all "moronic", kiki (and not just cuz my family nickname is "tiki"). Everyone should be free to openly discuss race and color, the same as we discuss the differences in all life forms. There was nothing perjorative about inquiring about the ethnicity of anyone; the same question occurred to me, and I wondered if Hugh'd had a relationship with an aboriginal woman. Just as we discuss blondes, brunettes and redheads we should be able to discuss skin color, ethnicity and/or nationality. It's only racist when you suggest that one group is inferior/superior to another. This from a woman who is "mixed with Black" (or "with White", in my perspective), who identifies as Black -- but respects and adores her White family members (even ancestors), nonetheless.

Um, yeah, it is moronic, and rude, and inappropriate. I am a foster father, and have cared for children of different race backgrounds. This is an adopted child, a minor, and not a celebrity. You should keep your comments about his race or ethnicity to yourself, and hope he or his family doesn't read your innane commentary.

Nothing wrong or right with it being red , brown, black , white, yellow, orange or checkered. Its called an observation.

LOL mixed with black? Not racist but an odd way of saying that. The word mixed normally refers to a person that is black and white. The child does look mixed. People need to chill out. Inorder for racism to die we have to be able to discuss it without everyone flipping out. We have to be able to joke about it and celebrate it. Its a good thing.
