How I wish it were the entire country addressing these women. Alas, it is but one person, America Ferrera of "Ugly Betty" that I'm talking about. Ferrera recently gave her two cents on what she thinks it the solution to the chaotic lives experienced by so many young Hollywood starlets like Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears. America clearly believes in the old adage, "Idle hands are the devil's workshop" and had this to say about the situation:
"My advice to anyone who gets into too much trouble is, 'Get a job!' "I can't get into trouble because I'm working all the time...I'm too busy working and focusing on what I'm doing to be out partying."I can totally see where Ferrera is coming from and that she has a point. The only problem is that these girls don't know how to GET jobs as well as they GIVE them. Hey-OOOOO! Get it? I'm being filthy.

Wow, common sense, how refreshing!
confused says:
Is that America or Jordin Sparks?
Alex says:
I love this girl. She so - how do you say? - NORMAL!!!
Colby says:
I'm not going to deny that America has a point here, but if it was a simple as changing one's work ethic, why do so many people have lifelong problems with addiction? I'm not implying she's wrong or that Lilo doesn't look at rehab like an expensive VACA but "being busy" isn't a solution to a drinking or drug problem.
But KUDOS to her for being motivated, etc.
Evil Charity says:
Go, America! And, I love that sweater she has on. Very cute. I
Kate says:
@Colby: Yeah, I completely agree with you. It's very nice that she has focus and doesn't suffer from addiction problems but not everyone is as lucky.
