When I was a senior in high school, I didn't have a crush or a close guy friend who was single, but I didn't want to go to prom by myself, so about a month before the dance, I started asking random guys I met on the street if they'd go with me. This totally looks to me like what my date potentially would have looked like--surly, awkward and clearly uncomfortable in some suit I bought from the thrift store and forced him to wear. Nonetheless, strange beard and all, this is Ryan Gosling on the red-carpet, at the L.A. film premiere of his latest film, believe it or not. "Lars and The Real Girl," has been getting positive reactions, much to Ryan's delight and surprise. Ryan revealed that his selection process for movie roles is quite simple.
"They're just movies I like to see - of course I ruin them by being in them, I can't go see them and enjoy them - but I read these things and think 'I'd love to see a film like this', it's not complicated."Now, someone get that man a spiked drink of punch and a virgin, so he can get on with his business and get the hell home.

OMG, your entry makes me p*ss my pants laughing every time I read it. Your description of Ryan Gosling being "surly, awkward, and clearly uncomfortable" is right on the money. Often, especially with some of his clothing choices lately, I have asked myself is this guy purposefully trying to uglify himself? Someone needs to tell him it is not working. . . he looks cute even when fat, bearded, and dressed funny.
