Oh, Britney. How far you've fallen from the "Baby One More Time" and "U Drive Me Crazy" days. No one ever really applauded you for having an exceptional voice, but you sure could dance. Play up your strength and don't phone in your videos.

Please, go back to Kiddie Jazz and redeem yourself!

It is a terrific mess! I feel so bad for her! She seems oblivious to the fact that she is not moving or even lypsyncing properly:-( Her record company should be ashamed of themselves for releasing it. She needs to quit doing anything else (performance wise) until she can really get back to a level that makes us remember the old Britney. It's not about weight it's about lethargy. I wish someone would help her by preventing crap like this from coming out.

I can't view the video (work comp) but I remember reading a statement from her record company that she did this video on her own, paid for it out of her own money, and told the director what she wanted it to look like. Jive did not fund nor release this video, she did it all.

I also love that her solution to getting in shape is just using an elongated lens to give the appearance of being thinner. It's like she doesn't get that she has to make a comeback. The thing that I don't understand about this whole thing with Britney is not so much about her but about eveyone else. It seems the judge gave the kids to FedEd, I guess he does not do drugs that bottom of the barrel idiot(that's what the judge thinks). First of all Britney has people taking care of her kids and lots of money and they don't look neglected as both their cheeks are bulding out of their face. The courts should worry about kids who have to live in filth but they are not worried about those, they would rather take away kids who live in the lap of luxury. Also, if everyone is concerned about Britney getting a life, they should get one, she has a life, she is a multi-millionare and drives a brand new mercedies every day!

The video kind of reminds me of a cross between an old Scandal video and some of the New Kids on the Block black-and-white videos from back in the day when MTV still played videos.

It's not as horrific as Paula Abdul's "Cold-Hearted Snake," but it's still fairly hideous.

Just because kids live in the lap of luxury does NOT mean they are being loved and cared for properly. There are plenty of trailer park kids who are loved and cared for and paid attention to. And there are plenty of rich kids whose parents neglect them. Just like Brit's, those kids need real stability and parenting.

anyways, the video is a hot mess. she looks pretty dang good however, slim and trim and well, hot. the video sucks though, and the editing was horrible. just a few frames of anything BUT her dancing (if thats what you call it) on the pole. maybe it'd be cooler, if blond britney got up on stage and started dancing with brunette britney...

Cdawg, behold the power of video editing. Soft focus, a little fuzzy, and a lot of stretching to make her seem leaner than she is.

I'm not saying she's fat - clearly, she's not. However, we've all seen the stills from that fateful shoot.

the blurriness and graininess of the video works great because you can't really tell it's a fat bald mess. the "dancing" is horrendous, the song is crappy, and what you can see of britbrit, she looks like shit. but we knew that from the photos taken from the few days of the video shoot. the record company and producers should be ashamed, whether they financed it or not. but still, there will be many sadsacks to spend their parents money on this shit, so i guess, put it out. but her "career" is definently over. she should go ahead and spend the rest of her money on crack, meth, wild turkey, and fried chicken, and go live behind wal-mart.

I thought she looked hot. I liked the video. I want to see any one of you get up there and shoot a video, sing and dance. Like you would even know what to do!! Alyssa, I'm pretty sure any of us could have done that video. What was the difficulty, dress slutty, dance slutty near a pole and lip-synch a song. Hmmm, you can go to any club on a Friday or Saturday night and pretty much all the girls on the dancefloor can do that.

I love the argument, "I'd like to see you try." Always such a lame point. When it's your job, I expect to see something a little better.

Ok, I don't hate the song. I'll download it off Limewire or something rather than pay for it and if I can't have it for free, I'll be ok without it. But the video..... because it's Britney, it's a terrible video. Even Toxic was a great video. While she writhed around that pole, I at least expect a high kick or something. No, she just gyrated. Remember the dancing in Me Against the Music or Slave 4 You (or whatever the title was)? They were great.

First of all, Alyssa, I'm pretty sure that if you gave anyone the right producer, director, makeup artist, stylist and choreographer they could make a video just as good, if not better. No, I wouldn't know what to do, that's why you hire people that DO know what to do. The point is that she refused any help on this video and it shows - I miss the old Britney.

I think the blonde Britney looked good (from what I could see, as it was mostly the brunette Britney that was shown). I really hope she can get to a place where she's happy - I really do.

As for walking a mile in her shoes - I totally wouldn't want to do that, you're right. However, she put herself there - she's the one who allegedly calls the paparazzi to tell them where she is. She's the one who doesn't wear underwear to the club. She's the one who bombed at the VMAs. I bet, and of course I'm just speculating, that her "shoes" would be a lot more comfortable if she got the hell out of the limelight and cleaned herself up (detoxed, sought counselling, just plain got healthy, physically and mentally).

Until that happens, I'll be wishing her the best and hoping that she can get back on track.

Why do people treat pregnancy like it's some sort of physical affliction? Really Alyssa, BFD that she had two kids. She's got trainers and all sorts of cash at her disposal. I take martial arts and I train with a woman that tested for her black belt two months after giving birth. She was always very healthy and likes exercise so it was nothing for her and it WASN'T HER JOB to do that.

I have a cat story for you. I told you I adopted a couple of strays. One of them decided that she was tough enough to take on a pre-historic-looking crane that was fishing in my pond. The cat looks at me, looks at the crane, puffs herself up so she looked twice as big and starts dancing sideways along the edge of the pond. The crane sees her so she takes a flying leap and tries (doing a complete backflip in the process) to snag the crane out of the air. She dreams big that one!!! I laughed my butt off!

She needs to differentiate herself from all the other women in the world who can do what she does with that pole! Otherwise why is she special? I liked this song when i heard it on the radio. But the video is crap and has ruined it for me. That usually only happens, for me, with hip hop songs.
She's like an accident happening and us spectators just can't tear ourselves away. Tragic, really.

What the hell was that? I think the most entertaining part of the video was when she is laughing at herself at the bar just as I am snickering to myself. I am a mother of 2 boys, and not every person has the same pregnancy, or easy weight loss blessings as others. Also the poor girl went through not nine months, but pretty much two years of pregnancy. That's not easy on a body. The girl looks amazing. I don't know too many people after having children that wouldn't kill for the body she has now! Besides, people are such jokes(if she was thin she'd be in the catagory of lindsay lohan and nicole ritchie on her way to deaths door)The girl may have problems, but does anyone ever stop and put the shoe on the other foot, if it was anyone of you, seeing the mean cruel world out there, and what there saying about your life every second of every day. Do you think it helps to feel that everyone hates you, and that that there waiting for you to screw up and trip on stage helps her performance any. I think she showed true guts, after months of ridacule to even stand on that stage at the mtvs and say hello, let alone being expected to perform like she did 2 years ago. If it was someone in any of your families you would die to hear the way people are talking, and you'd defend them. And i don't care how rich she is, if that was my child i would get her the help that she so desperatly needs, nomatter what security gate i would have to break down. I think it's time for people to stop looking at the celebrities like there not real people with real problems, and help them instead of following them around waiting for them to screw up. It was pretty boring... kept waiting for her to do something that wasn't just pole dancing, or at least pan the camera out so you could watch the dancing & not just her face.
She looked good, though. & it could have been much, much worse.

So many Britney supporters seem to desperately shut their eyes to her actual behaviour. I want to know why the children don't seem to matter at all to her supporters.
In my opinion they are the ONLY things that matter. They didn't ask to be dropped into this hellish and dangerous life they have. She owes it to them to take proper care of them.
But she obviously doesn't want them, so things will probably work out exactly as they should, with someone else (anyone else) raising them.

I can no longer hold this in. Britney is a professional pop star and we should expect no less than a kick-ass professional performance from her. When she doesn't deliver, she isn't doing her job, period. I don't care how much she's got going on in her personal life. Deal with it and produce, or get out of the game. It's as simple as that.

I give the video a 3 out of 10. It wasn't horribly bad, but it wasn't very entertaining. I didn't understand what the story was behind it (if there was any). Was she trying to seduce that dude we saw for, like, half a second by putting on a strip show? Was Brit and her girlfriends laughing at him? We're they even at the same place as him? All you saw was Brit dancing around the pole with one hand on it and flipping her hair. Oh, and she was frisking against a mirror. Now if she was actually doing some real stripper moves, like flipping upside down or whatever, it would have been cool. Anyone could do what she was doing in the video...ok, except maybe someone in a wheelchair, but you get my point. I also don't understand what the whole "stripper theme" even has to do with the damn song! All she wanted to do was make a slutty video to prove to everyone that she's still "hot", and guess what? For the multitudes what Ms. Spears did on the pole was correct...it would have been 2 much and out of her target markets reach if she had turned into skank on the pole..it was very flirty very cutesy. i agree that i would not be defending her after all this time, BUT it never should have come to these extremes. If she was my daughter(like i sais earlier) it would never have came to the extemes that it has. This video was horrible. I got motion sickness watching it. She could have at least stufied how to use a stripper pole properly. I think that she should have let the other back up dancers do all the pole dancing. Babies sure have made her a stiff person.
