What's tan and purple and sells a heck of a lot of products? Why, none other than Catherine Zeta-Jones. And Ms. Zeta-Jones is now going to be renting out her famous mug to the Di Modolo jewelry house with ads featuring the actress set to appear in In Style, Vogue and Town and Country for the November issue of those publications. Di Modolo focuses on the high-end jewelry market and is hoping Catherine will give them a much-needed boost in their sales.
"We are so happy to welcome Catherine as the face of Di MODOLO," said Benny Shabtai, President & CEO of Di MODOLO, "She embodies a natural radiance and international appeal that is an ideal match with our brand."That is all well and good, but I'm sorry, putting diamonds on a beautiful actress is not going to make them appear any more affordable for some schmuck like me. I'd much rather see them modeled by some old man whom I could imagine had foolishly purchased them for me in an attempt to win me over. Little does he know that yes, I'm superficial, but about looks! Ha! Fooled you, sir!
